Excusing your comedy gold with old Gustix, can you both either contribute to the thread or do one ? Your holier than attitude does fall down on a thread like this. -
That sounds like a sensible timeframe i think.
-
Definitely - since i got up earlier i checked out the regs and some extra info, and it's not good reading. The medical officer who advises the Scb states that any loss of consciousness should be a 1 month break from the sport, and we all know that never happens, yet how many times do we hear about a rider being knocked out...
-
I doubt you'll get an answer here sadly, but would be interesting to know how many under 35s or 45s are still living at home on this forum, or being funded like you say.
-
Think last seasons regs only referred to the rider having to adhere to the time stated on his medical certificate, no specific length..
-
So you were a hospital porter then. Just checking. Thanks
-
Read my message again...slowly.
-
No idea what you're waffling about - seem to remember something on a Chris Holder thread about his injuries but thats it. Did i read something that someone posted earlier about knowing you from before and the fact you used to be a hospital porter btw ?
-
You mentioned before on a public forum that your disability was something vision related did you not ? And my post was about you misreading or misquoting something yet again..so thats relevant in my eyes. Perhaps don't air things on here that you arent comfortable with when they're mentioned again ? Just a thought. Might save you a few hissy fits.

Don't go trying to tell me what i was or wasnt implying with the way i worded my post. I know exactly why i used speech marks....get that chip of your shoulder.
-
Well i didnt actually say i didn't believe they were true, but hey ho, misread another post why dont you. As for your last comment, (which incidentally contradicts itself), i cant speak for other people, but can safely say i would happily say anything posted here, to anyone, face to face. No problem at all with that.
-
But you've got a lot of previous for misreading / misquoting haven't you ? Might be worth reading things a couple of times, or maybe getting someone to do it, but obviously i wouldn't want to push that bearing in mind your "disability" you mentioned a few times kind.......................regards..................................daks......................dad................
-
Erm, you called him darling ? Are you really this thick ?
-
Phew, glad you're back from your ban... can you ask Dak how his Dad's hand is for me ? I asked him, and got a rather vague reply.. Kind regards

Welcome back Shov. I was only talking to my work colleagues about you last night and our European trips in the early 2000s. Hope you're well mate. -
Come on, please, educated point of view or not, "ANY length of stay in hospital is life changing" is guff, sorry it really is. I respect you on the bsf when it comes to speedway i really do, but please dont try and out do me medical wise - length of stay IS NOT LIFE CHANGING What do you honestly think is wrong with him ? (Based on your knowledge, of the the real world of medicine, which you know extremely well, from an educated point of view - non speedway, as a medical scholar )
-
Lordy.. i grant you that's a well researched reply. However it's really not as clear cut as that in the real world. You said to stay in hospital that long shows it was quite a life changing accident. That was the state of play from the get go. The length of his stay doesnt have any relevance to it being life changing or not. I'm glad you brought that up first. Take a good look at the pic and you see plenty of things that raise questions.. However, of course, we aren't allowed to ask that kinda thing.
-
Firstly, i didn't say long term hospitalisation, i said "length of stay in hospital isn't relative to seriousness of anything whatsoever" If i really have to prove a point, here goes: Male, 21, Breaks multiple vertebrae in back. Male, 20, Broken leg. Who gets the longer stay in hospital ?
-
Not sure anyone's arguing..
-
Well sorry but it's true.
-
The length of stay in hospital isn't relative to seriousness of anything whatsover.. And to a point, you are correct, its no one's business to know, but while the ambiguity is there, i still am convinced of Poole's cheating, which given the bigger picture was probably unnecessary anyway.
