How Far Do You Have To Travel?
The Doctor... replied to Gresham's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
Maybe i've been lucky, but i think the worst i've suffered is the 91 world under 21 that was called off as we came into Coventry from Reading. We headed off to the restaging on the monday night but the weather was so crap we bailed out - the meeting went ahead and Brian Andersen won i think.. Actually, i'm sure a Bydgoszcz Gp we went to was called off, but my memory is not so good of anything Polish due to my leg breaking and other escapades over there. and come to think of it, i was at the Gothenburg gp that went out of the window. I ludicrously went to the re-staging of that aswell straight from work on some badly thought out 24 hours trip with no hotel which ended rather messily. Anyway.. Cheers -

Strangely at the same sort of time his buddy TWK resurfaces 5 months after his tantrum. Oh dear.. -
Carmarthen Dragons Return!
The Doctor... replied to PTDragons's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
Exactly - i know its a daft question, but i'd love to know what kind of monies need to be invested to get the team moving in this fashion, as it would no doubt be the starting point for any possible Reading Racers revival to get off the ground if we did a similar thing. Ok, we've all noted that. Now, unless you're talking about Carmarthen in future posts, i suggest you move along. Its a gorgeous day outside, perhaps get some fresh air. -
Carmarthen Dragons Return!
The Doctor... replied to PTDragons's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
That's the old place surely - so utterly irrelevant here. I think you've perhaps misheard them - "so you think you will last another five years ? " is probably what they are saying, no doubt wondering why the hell you're still wittering on about speedway from the 40s. Great news about Carmarthen. Tom -

The Doctor... replied to damosuzuki's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
I'm confused. You've apparently been away from these shores for many years yet you have very specific knowledge of people here, names and tracks and all sorts. And you call it the BSF which is a modern kinda thing... You also seem very threatening for someone who was apparently bullied here before. I will say aswell, if you weren't an active member here, how would you know where was Bwitcher was posting from ? Bwitcher is a proper proper dickhead and i've run ins with him over the years, but if you werent on here daily how would you know he "maintains a constant vigil" ? Well done on your week of trolling and good luck with the job hunting. Drop me a pm if you or your "mrs" from romania need work in london. -
All seems very strange this character emerging from the wilderness with a back story of leaving the forum after previous threats of physical violence, yet he seems to be goading all comers in many wide and varied threads across the forum. Seems like he's spoiling for a fight one way or the other - just trying to have a good think who he could be.. Anyway, off to bed, i'll let you guys scrap it out.

Speedway's Equivalent To War & Peace!§
The Doctor... replied to Bryn's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
Lordy, too much time on one's hands springs to mind here. What do you honestly think goes on ? Anyway, while you fret over the rest of the country getting supposed preferential treatment from the star, hopefully Shads will ease your fears very soon if he catches this thread. Btw, you said you spoke to their circulation dept before about it ? I'm guessing they told you the same as Phil and you didn't believe them either ? Anyway, long shift, off to bed -

The Doctor... replied to Bryn's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
Why on earth should they ? You cant expect them to post it out early for people up north surely ? My postmark says 23rd March, i received it 24th. If yours arrives and says the same postmark, you need to ask questions of your delivery provider, not the senders. Cracking issue tho. Well worth it when it comes. -

No family tragedy to draw upon in your post this time Rob ? You're a disgrace. It's a great pity that you stain the Bsf with your bile. Tsunami is no fan of me so i'm not jumping in to support a friend, but is he a hypocrite ? Na.... -
Peter Craven/grand Opening
The Doctor... replied to Trevor's topic in Speedway Testimonials & Individual and Shared Events
Hold on, so he didnt understand speedway at 10 ? Hmm... Yet he threw himself into it from November and knew that this was his only chance to see riders who dont ride in the EL ? And of course, he didn't go to Poole in those 5 years because he was seeing run of the mill, bog standard, EL riders ... ? I think the moral of the story is perhaps dont throw a sob story about your son if you havent thought it through. Me thinks you've got it in the neck because you've dragged him up north and not got the brownie points for doing so. -

i'll keep my eyes peeled for you then................ and ........................no..............................i'm working on the wednesday...................... But you've seemingly expected all of the negatives of your experience in advance, so its quite valid to ask why did you really bother ? You seem uber cynical on everything, and even go as far to have a go at fans for not singing the national anthem... ludicrous. And Warsaw, well you mentioned it first, not me. -

Ahh... the "chronically" tired. If you knew the meaning then i'm sure you were going up there against doctors orders anyway. Or you're just talking b.o.llocks You werent there, so your views, are "blinkered" aswell no ? Are you going to the Lakeside away meeting btw ?.................. Starman and pirates pirates munchausen pirates that applies to you aswell................. £50 to the speedway riders ben fund says i wont see starry or any of you there. -

With respect, seriously, why did you bother ? You've apparently second guessed your whole weekend in advance, yet you went ahead with it anyway.. Usual this, usual that - it was a crappy situation, we all get that, but it sounds like you knew it was going to be crap anyway so why bother ? You even said you went to Warsaw so i've got zip sympathy for you sorry. -
Good work Shov. Watched a few bits live and gonna watch the others on the train on the way home. Cheers Tom

Bt Sports Costs
The Doctor... replied to sportmaniaphotos's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Agreed, a good signing. I wont be going on board with Bt as their broadband is guff where i am and for just the channels, it would bump our monthly subs up to a whopping £120 which is bananas really. On top of a £1500 arsenal season ticket, and the challenges of rolling shifts which mean i would miss loads of the bt speedway anyway, i wont be "scrounging" by using kodi -

Well i'm giving this Kodi lark a go now. Only using the desktop version at the mo, while i get my head round it fully. First impressions are that its a bit fiddly to get your head the very intital set up and all this repositories shenanigans, but after watching a few of those youtubes you mentioned, i'm happily flitting around watching hd coverage of pretty much everything i can think of. Cheers Tom -
I think perhaps he's referring to the argumentative nature of your post. As i replied to Lisa earlier, had your answer been a little more factual like Woz's was, and if you'd perhaps strayed away from mentioning shame on those people etc etc, it wouldnt have been seen as bringing up an old argument. Making things up again i see. I'll be honest, had Steve replied sensibly that would have been enough - granted, i take your replies with as much credence as i would do a punch drunk old wino, so you are correct, i wouldnt have believed you in the slightest. You've got too much previous for that i'm afraid. Anyway, he's not a Swindon rider anymore, so its not really relevant to the thread moving on now is it ?

Jesus love, i asked a friggin question. If someone had perhaps replied simply saying there had be no update as such, i would have thanked them and that would have been it. Perhaps you should ask those who made clever dick responses why they did, when i even mentioned that my post was a genuine question, and nothing more. No one mentioned severity or anything whatsoever yet two members spoiling for an argument brought it up with no prompting whatsoever.
