  1. It'll just give him more time on the beer in Cardiff, doing coke with some pretty high profile people in the sport, getting a bollckin by the police for having a dust up with a cab driver, having a fight with one of the Hortons, and bedding a pretty-ish steward from the stadium... Actually, no, that was just one of our years at Cardiff.. a great weekend had by all All the best to everyone down there this weekend..
  2. He only beat Klindt and Newman when he rode at Poole earlier this year didn't he ? He'll need to start scoring these "8-10 points" you and others are convinced he will do, pretty sharpish i would say before he's caught up in the malaise around the place and the season fritters away for you lot.
  3. To be fair, no one had mentioned 2018 until one of your "fans" self destructed on the other thread and started planning teams for next year. I wouldn't call it obsessed. Perhaps if your "fans" weren't such an easy target it wouldn't happen.
  4. Indeed. Though as i say i don't think he's ridden for them for a while. I think it was Holsted.
  5. As others have said, he already rides in three leagues albeit not ridden Denmark for a while i thought. And to Ray C, yes he rides for Czestochowa in the top flight.
  6. Good lord.. you really are a bonehead - how on earth could you know that no one left for whatever reason ?
  7. As a Reading Racers supporter, it's a hard watch supporting Swindon at the best of times.. but when it comes to Poole, local rivalries go out of the window...
  8. I guess we've now got to put up with Starman and a few of the other clowns over the next few hours deflecting off this onto some notion that it's all an average throwing exercise with some supposed masterplan lurking in the background. Well done Swindon anyway.. enjoy your shandy Sidney
  9. I would think this Sparrow guy is just some opportunist that has bought the website address or perhaps bought up a loads of expired sites from mad webs or whatever they're called. I cant find any trace of them around so maybe when they went, the passed on their info to someone wanting to buy the site names. The guy Sparrow doesn't put his address on the registration details of the website which makes it look like he's a one man band and is using his home address perhaps. The fact that iris mentions there are bizarre mentions of betting reunions etc seem to illustrate that whoever this guy is, he's using the name to attract people to the site and then wanting to take people off to dodgy websites rather than about sunderland speedway. I've seen this happen to a few other people with hobby websites who have let an address lapse and see it snapped up by some dodgy geezers.. Just checked again, its actually Byron Sparrow. mad webs seem to now be under this lot - http://www.itrocksmarketing.co.uk/contact - oddly enough, a Poole based web hosting company. I guess if anyone is wanting to get answers they might be worth contacting them directly. further googling on them shows they do the isle of wight website.. anyway, i'll leave it there. anyone needing any more info let us know.
  10. The name is registered to a Bryan Sparrow.. does that help ?
  11. You've blocked me Rob, but i'm an Arsenal season ticket holder for many years and our badge has changed which much consternation years back. It was agreed generally that it was to "move with the times" as you put it. A change of kit colour is ludicrous and of course wouldn't happen as such. Can you or anyone post a link to the racejacket changes that have perplexed you so much.
  12. I don't have any stories as such, but i roomed with him at a few gp's over the years abroad and he was just a lovely man. A true gent.
  13. He's English full stop. Robbie and the family only moved out to Australia when he was young as work opportunities opened up for them.
  14. DIdn't realise he'd done an ACL - those who love him or advise him, should be telling him to bin this season and get the op done. If he seriously thinks he can hobble from meeting to meeting with physiotherapy in between, he's off his head. He will end up with major major damage long term.
  15. Could one ask why you are dictating on a thread not connected to your club... whilst at the same time telling people to get off Poole threads and returning to their own ? Did you attend Davey Watt's testimonial by the way ? You didn't answer on the thread where you slagged off Kevin Doolan's testimonial.. and one was just wondering.
  16. Did you show such a noble attitude when Davey Watt had his testimonial at Poole a few years back ?
  17. Good grief - read his reply again. He doesn't live IN Poole, so therefore he didn't vote IN Poole. He hasn't said he didn't vote at all.
  18. It was only up for a brief time so not sure why they'd particularly need to come out with a press release to be honest. I contacted the guy who runs it as i'm sure others did aswell and it was fixed in less than 5 mins.
  19. It was hacked and has been sorted now clearly - i had the same experience described by Dandelion. You would have had kittens if you'd seen it Gustix.
  20. There used to be forum meet ups every year before Cardiff. In the days where this forum didn't have such bone headed characters. Anyway, Poole thread. Back to Poole.
  21. Good grief. I'll drop you a pm in a bit. Get ready to report it.
  22. Another reason for a forum meet up. Not sure people like you would make such remarks face to face.
  23. Why don't you two just take this to pm ? Or are you just getting a hard on by continuing this in a public arena ? If ever this list needed a proper meetup like the old days, it's now.. would certainly weed out the keyboard warriors imo.
  24. What's that got to do with it ? My local track also closed on Sunday May 13 1940. You and i both saw nothing of Crystal Palace Speedway so the mention of it is pointless.
