The Doctor... replied to ZagarRacing's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
The ref was Dave Robinson wasn't it ? -
I'm in Gustix territory a bit south of Peckham but totally agree. South of the river is either gentrified or the other extreme and is no place to grow old i think. I definitely plan to visit Eastbourne as much as i can this season. Only an hour and a bit down there from here i reckon and not been there in years.

Speedway Photo Site Updates V2

Excellent.. love how Donkey is still just scruffy old Donkey! -
Bloody hell that's a name from the past. Remember you from the old yahoogroups email group Glenn. Glad you're still around. As other have said, the chaps at Travel Plus will be able to sort something for you and your group i'm sure. James is on here somewhere but cant remember his forum username.

Both - On the Racers facebook group a few days back they announced they are still riding at Eastbourne but as second halves on the days that the track is running various amateur days.. see text below.. "The stadium will be host to several Sunday amateur meetings and "Powerslide" days - where beginners can hire a bike and be supervised in their first laps of a track - and the Racers matches will take place after these sessions, running 2 matches on each occasion" Cheers

revamped Dev League 2019
The Doctor... replied to Speedway fan's topic in Youth Speedway and Development Leagues
The way you mis-read that original post is almost on Starman levels. Astonishing. I notice you've held your hands up and apologised in similar fashion on many threads recently where your trolling has backfired spectacularly. Perhaps taking a moment or two to think before you post would be some wise advice. -
With respect, your posts aren't usually reportable, its just the bone headedness of them that probably is. I'm trying to think of a name or two to contribute as i know deviation from threads upsets you John.

Ales Dryml. Antonin Kasper Lubos Tomicek

You don't help yourself with stuff like this John. If you're posting a genuine question, fair enough, but a simple googling of the blokes name taking us to an article written by you is frankly just weird. And i doubt the other member has a collection of your writings... as i said.. google gives answers in less than a second.

Yeh, Sabre was/is him, Kent Sweepers was just the sponsors i think. Anyway, according to companies house, he's based in Gravesend. Certainly a fair trek, but not 200 miles by any means.

Many happenings of the past surface for discussion ? Have i missed the recent news with speedway mail in recently then ? If so, apologies - however it does look like you just wanted to tell an anecdote about your worklife and take a 16 year old message to task, when to any sane person, it was clear what the tone of it was. Can i also say, i don't see where falcace referred to the speedway mail in the 1970s in his message you've taken umbrage to.
-
I don't think the years gone by name is to do with the age of the posts John. 16 years has to be a record surely for the longest time waiting a reply.. bloody hell only Gustix would be trawling thru the archives on a lovely sunny day in London and feel the need to chirp in.
-
That's how he operates sadly. He was speedyguy, jack keen, and many more. Banned from here, and banned from the very tranquil speedway yahoogroups site. Now he's just plain old John Hyam. Bitter, pedantic, negative, miserable as sin, and sadly, living in close proximity to me now i'm based in South London. Anyway, Hope you're well r&r.

With respect, this has got diddly to do with Wimbledon, and i see nothing in this recent update where anyone is getting ahead of themselves saying Coventry has been "saved". Without this sounding offensive, i doubt a committed, organised, sensible bunch of ladies and gents behind this campaign would need any advice from you regarding modern discussions with councils and landowners etc. As someone who isn't local to Coventry, like me also, i think perhaps we should just get behind their efforts, and in your case, stop wittering on about Wimbledon.
-
For goodness sake - you tried to disrupt the lakeside thread on a similar subject, why don't you just leave the things you mention to the folks who put their hard earned time and money on the line for this cause. It's actually an insult imo for you to post something like this. So pompous. Best wishes to everyone connected with the Coventry cause - don't let such negativity from pillocks like this disrupt the passion you all have.

Going a bit further, the name is spelt differently, as Mayson in that pdf - If you google Mayson Weir, you find a cumbrian sheep farmer, with a little video on youtube where he tells of moving to Herefordshire in his youth for a few years before he went back home to minding his sheep in the lake district. The age of the bloke looks about right i'd say. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HeP7PMarqXQHer

Random post i know in the midst of the usual Poole thread chaos but did anyone here ever stay at the old b&b owned by Pete Rigler just outside the track on Wimborne Road. I managed to persuade my mum and dad to take me to stay there before poole cradley in the early 90s. Crump was riding second half Was talking to my ma tonight and it came up that's all.

So you've just backed up what i wrote then. No one else could be bothered so they roped her into it.
-
And you don't cause trouble here ?
-
If they have scant knowledge of speedway, perhaps someone should take the site off the poor lady's hands. If anything, i would say the contributors are exploiting the lady's good nature by not making that offer. It will be costing her money each year for what looks like a vanity project for half a dozen contributors when the reality is it could be done a lot more slicker by someone who actually gave a monkeys.
-
As i'm sure Gustix will point out, he is one of the people behind the project. He keeps referring to some lady that apparently maintains it but his name is literally all over it, hence this insatiable desire of his to go on about it.
-
Well that's not true for a start. People don't create a website and expect others to complete it.

I meant the moderator on the proboards forum link you shared a few pages back ?
-
You're one of the mods aren't you ? Or at least one of your old pseudonyms
