  1. Only just seen this link - intimidating atmosphere ? Blimey i thought these tough northerners could handle a few pensioners and kids booing at them.
  2. How can they even ban someone for verbal abuse ? The scb govern the people that they control not randoms that may or may not be working for the clubs. I used to think your posts here had some semblance of sanity but this saga has well and truly shown your true colours. I've got the 2 min video if you need it. Or perhaps as a neutral who frankly hates both clubs, feel free to ask me as someone who was there and close. I hope Herne Bay is nice these day as you sound miserable as sin.
  3. So you take the frankly often drivel spoken by some on here as a part of the reason to not make an effort - that's disappointing.
  4. I'd hope their angle of this doesn't intimate a headbutt then as it was most definitely not...this was my view. https://vimeo.com/353630896
  5. Is this the one that was posted today online, welcome to Eastbourne etc ?
  6. Me either, but what bit was Martin Dugard's headbutt at then ? He kicked someone up the bum in the first incident from my view.
  7. Hostile isn't the word i would use. A few silly comments over the pa, little kids as mascot, not exactly Galatasaray.
  8. Agree - i think he was pretty wound up by that time anyway so any potential flashpoint was going to end up in conflict. Shame as it finished the meeting as a contest almost immediately pretty much as they were so far behind by the time he had his first ride under his belt.
  9. the exit was halfway down the back straight so if the marshall guided him that way he was guiding towards the people still there. cook thought he could exit on the bend, marshall panicked, and then as you say, the plank Paul Dugard caused the ensuing mayhem .
  10. You're being flippant now - no it was on the back straight. I'm glad that i get to see very little speedway live - would be a very frustrating time for me on this forum if i had to put up with people claiming that i'm seeing things when they are hundreds of miles away.
  11. Gotta be tactical surely to put it off to a later time. No way he can get off his part.
  12. Are you serious ? Vissing was in the thick of all that and is clearly visible wrestling with someone. He hasn't been done for breaking the tapes good grief. What were these overtly provocative remarks aswell ? The ones i heard with pretty tame and certainly immature but not that bad imo.
  13. The flags were out during the intros before they went. I said on the other thread about this as the person i was with said to me blimey thats a big flag (ludicrous i know but it was her first time at speedway). I agreed and then the rest of the situation developed from there.
  14. But that only happened because the bikes came on when they shouldn't have - this is head splittingly frustrating. Should the marshalls, already having had their red flags ignored, scuttle back thru the presentation party onto the centre green and wave their flag behind everyone and hope the rider stops ? Bet the guests would be well chuffed at the jobsworth marshall that did that and left them exposed.
  15. But why are we thinking that's relevant here ? The marshalls were on the track anyway. It was the riders who weren't supposed to be on it at that point. Surely clerk of course ultimately is responsible for letting the bikes encroach anyway and perhaps not using the rope across the track thing that some places still use.
  16. I very much doubt that is even a thing. It’s barely a thing in football where I assume you’ve got the wording from. And it wasn’t track staff doing the fighting anyway was it. Hangers on and riders were throwing the punches. If anything I would imagine the clerk of the course would have some questions to answer for letting the whole thing get out of control. Failing to control their track staff.. Flippin eck.
  17. As someone else has said, there's a longer video. Watch that and if you you still reckon you get more grief off the missus i'd be amazed.
  18. I'm of the same opinion. I personally think the marshall panicked as it wasn't the correct exit of the track and the pointing he does is in the direction of the back straight exit and also the intro's that were still going on. He definitely shouldn't have jumped across tho, but looking at him, he doesn't appear to be that old so maybe he did just simply panic at having a situation like that unfold on his bit of track.
  19. You're not right tho. There was folk on the track on the back straight- Cook and the others had no exit as it stood. They would have had to go onto the bit of the track that people were on. Yeh they wouldn't have killed anyone i'm sure but the fact was there was people there is enough. edit - i actually can't believe you can still say " i am right". you weren't there and you didn't even know the pit access/egress until others here have clarified.
  20. Who said they were on the centre green ? And what parade lap ? It was the introductions - ie, people standing next to bikes on the track. The bikes were lined up along the back straight on the track. (That's where the track exit was ). Each home rider had a mascot. The glasgow riders were lined up furthest from the first bend. The last home rider was at the back end of the back straight so not far at all from the position of the aggro. I honestly don't get why you feel the need to think you're right all the time, it's baffling. All these experts from hundreds of miles away seem to know the layout on the night better than folk that were in the stadium.
  21. The pit gate where bikes exit is halfway down the back straight as others have confirmed. The mascots and hangers on were on the back straight. I get that they aren't in the video but its' getting on my ** people downright lying in this thread.
  22. That's what's puzzling me - it was the opposite the other day i'm nearly positive.
  23. Exactly. I was there too and only the hangers on came from distance. As you are more of a local than i, can you answer me something - the exit from the track for bikes is half way down the straight isn't it ?
  24. My favourite part is Vissing being hauled out of the ruck on about 30 secs back across the track.
