  1. Actually your wrong as Shane wouldn't be able to do that either. We are both self employed and have our own customers to think of
  2. I had the same opinion as Richard the moment 39 point limit was announced I knew that my lad Shane hazelden would struggle to get a team place with his average and coming back from injury. I was talk to by a couple of teams he was in their team plans if the limit was higher. Basically 4.5 to 6 point riders geting replaced by untried 3 pointers
  3. Shane is fit and has been practicing for a few weeks now. New race suit on order as everything was cut off by paramedics when he broke his leg
  4. I have seen a few of you mention Shane. Just to let you all know Shane has made the decision not to start the season as he is not healed enough to hand on heart say he will be ready for start of season. He plans to get on a bike when his broken leg has healed totaly and take it from there
  5. Makes me Laugh all those names that are not assets and no mention of Shane who is a Lakeside asset
  6. Shane managed to get back to work on light duties last week. Still limping about but getting fitter day by day.
  7. Trouble is Gordon if you had a teenage 1-7 you have nobody to pass guidance on. Having worked in the king's Lynn pits. The mix works well and without it some of the youngsters would be all at sea. Scott and Shane bring more to the team than just their riding
  8. Then whoever is left once the stand alone clubs have had their pick to make the Starlets competitive. Nothing against Campos or Hazeldene but would be nice to see some new younger faces. Funny to see Shane classed as old at the grand old age of 22 lol
  9. Funny enough the 13th has been in my diary for months for Kings Lynn to go there and to take shane there to ride
  10. Just to confirm Shane will not be riding National League this year, he intends to ride for fun at weekends when he feels like it and concentrate on building his buiseness up. The last cpouple of years the cost of competeing has gone through the roof and unless you are rich or have good sponsors or both you struggle. He was working so many hours and every penny was going into it but by the end of the season it had taken its toll so he has come to the decission to just enjoy riding a bike when he can fit it in.
  11. Its an insult to call any rider in the national league a hobbyist as they are far from that. Some people just have no idea of the effort and commitment these riders put in. Hobbyists they are not
  12. Islander its something to do with Waldron having and assesed average at the start of the season and I think there is a different rule that says assed riders new average comes into force 7 days after the 23rd of that month or something along those lines. to many rules is all i can say
  13. Great pictures Steve, now I can see how shane's wheel got buckled lol
  14. True Bee I take it you was not at Lakeside when Conor rode for Scunthorpe against Hackney on a wet horrible night, He did more than enough that night to gain a NL place
