U15 Pairs Championship @ Newport
morganbike replied to Iffoid's topic in Youth Speedway and Development Leagues
Well done to Daniel and James for winning the pairs today. Some may have their own opinions as to why their riders did not win but both James and Dan used their heads and communicated well during the event.Dan made no mistakes at all and team rode every heat for overall victory. It's OK to blast away or blame team mates, but this pair did the buisiness on their own. Some of the teams still had the individual approach and failed. However some scored well individually but made an odd mistake such as touching the tapes or lifting out the turns. We are now on the pace and as a Dad I have better understanding with gearing/timing/carburation etc etc.It has taken me 4 years so far !. Will we be forced to ride 250's next year ? The answer is almost yes but we will buy one and race it as I am sure most who want to be in the under 15's will. Its been a great year and may there be many more. Incidentally great to see Shane mixing it with the 500's.Gary you do well to get him in there and am looking forward to see how the transition to 500 takes place as I am sure you are anxiuos to see how these 500 riders down grade to 250. The 250 will be the ideal machine at Brighton !!!!. Phil -
Has anyone got any opinions on the possability of current 500 riders downsizing for 2007. It is clear that the top 4 from 06 will not be competeing in 07 and I am not sure how old Norton is. Would it be fair if Greenwood,Johnson,Franklin etc joined the 250 ranks if thats the way the British under 15's Championship will go. Will there be enough 500 riders to hold a 7 round British Championship for 2007 ?. What if they rode both Championships 250 and 500 ?. Phil

Has anyone got any ages for Marc Owen + Shane Hazeldene 250 riders please Phil

Steve, Dont forget Daniels Roll Neck Please Phil -
As Far as I am aware TNT you are neither but you do the start gate at Wolves. It seems you are creating a false description of your wishfull involvements !!!. I can say you are NOT HIS MANAGER and YOU DO NOT SPONSOR HIM. The air time you give him though is appreciated and so is you support. From AN UNBIASED SUPPORTER !!!

I dont think that the phrase ' WITH SOME EASE' is a fair one to make as most riders on the night including JOE were unfamiliar with the track and rode very well.Nothing is easy, and Joe's determination to win and his excellent pit crew made it happen. As per usual the phrase freedom of speech rings to mind and whilst everyone has there own favourites all the under 15's riders including the 250's are worth a thought. Some of the refs decisions were a little unfare such as the Tich Franklin 15 meter handicap compared to the Adam Wrathall dropped chain incident. Brendan Johnson once again looked quick but copied his turn 2 lift and fence hit from Scunthorpe with ease.Something tells me that the motors he is running are toooooo strong for his experience. The phrase dont run till you can walk spring to mind !. I would like to add that JOE has his first conference ride for the Bays at Stoke on Weds and is at home at Redcar for a double header on Sat.This Cleveland Bays conference contract is for 28 days only and will not run into next season unless he decides to go that route. I have to add that these are my thoughts only and although I have plenty of enemies I am not trying to attract more !!!. Well done to my son Daniel for getting into the Semi's and rode the best ever at Somerset. Thanx to Pat for the Scunny DVD (NO PORN ON IT ????).Chris's crash was breathtaking. Phil + Dan -

Joe Haines At Rye House
morganbike replied to PhilK's topic in Youth Speedway and Development Leagues
Joe had a few set up problems this night with the Blixt carb off peak set up and I am sure under race conditions he would have done better times. A superb meeting on the whole and my first visit to Rye House was an enjoyable one. Phil -
As with the other posts the results are not confirmed but I am 99% sure this is it.The under 15's match lead to complete confusion and turmoil for the Swindon Staff/Crew and the riders were rushed around like a flock of Lambs. Only Blair,Meakins,Serjeant and Butler were team riders. All others were R/R Bulls 7 Bates 2 Fell heat 1 Read 1 Meakins 0 Fell heat 2 and was to injured to ride again Butler 4 Bint 0 Retired motor problems came in as reserve for Meakins Cobras 16 Taylor 6 Greenwood 3+1 Blair 1 Sarjeant 6

Cardiff 15's Line Up
morganbike replied to morganbike's topic in Youth Speedway and Development Leagues
Ok so here we go: 1) Bob C I feel you have the heats mixed up although the times are correct. There is no way that the under 15's will beat the conference guys.Your praise to OAKES is to be repeated from us and although the future is not bright I hope he can carry on for many years to come.I wonder how the 250 introduction will narrow down the 500 riders next year and could CARDIFF 2007 see a 500 and 250 individual 2 heat formatt ???. 2)PanthersChamp06 Which racing were you watching ? Obviously from your comments you were not inside the Cardiff Stadium.Where were you and what riders were you watching?.Don't create your own fantacies and dreams !!!. I and my son are good friends of Brendon but please do not post false race reports. 3) najjer It seeems ALAN HAM has taken JOSH under his wings and that is why he has the Nicolls livery.Rumour has it that Josh is riding 1 of Scotts 2005 bikes but the Auty family do read all these posts but do not reply because as Dad Simon says, Josh does his talking on the track !!!. Finally I would like to congratulate Joe Haines for his win and we look forward to his conference league debut at the back end of the season Phil -

Cardiff 15's Line Up
morganbike replied to morganbike's topic in Youth Speedway and Development Leagues
The experience the guys will get starts on Friday morning and you all forget that they do practice along with the GP riders all day Friday. The work done by Peter Oakes to get these guys at Cardiff for this second year is a very uphill battle and like the UK under 15's he will argue and fight for the YOUTH as he always does.Yes the two heats could be run nearer the GP start time but the event is world wide SKY and one hick-up such as a bad fall requiring medical attention could upset the whole event.Ole is only being over cautious and I think we should be appreciating the fact that they are allowed to ride.Yes we would like to see the youth do a few heats and a final rather than have to endure Bonnie Tyler rattling out the old crap.Lets hope the future is brighter and that the stadium will give us pass outs at 5.35 pm. -

Well done Scaty I cant get my missus to do any thing. She wont even wash the bike or do the riding gear.Yeah she can do the toenail thing but leaves the cut toenails on the floor for the dog to chew on !!!! Hope to get to somerset and meet you soon and DAD I hear Chris is coming on well so get that under 15's entry in.Racing is the best way to learn and improve. We raced the Grass today and Brendon Jonson was at the WINCHESTER meet as a spectator and was seen munching in the nearby pub afterwards. What a life eh !!!!. We drove past and the half a cow was on the spit !!!! Dave only wants a slice. Phil

Have e mailed Mr Oakes for 250 homologation and rules as per advert speedway star and have asked for an entry. Will post reply. Vince , PJR 250 power is at the fly wheel but does not state which carb is being used?.Whilst you say that the CRF has no comparison it will give more than this.If tuned it will give aroung 44 bhp at the crank.Once wound up the jawa does go but lack the gating ability. When the 250 JAWA rules are enforced then yes we will run them, but as with the UK Bantam grasstrack series (which run standard honda 125 4 strokes ) if a rider has extra power it is plain to see.The exhaust note and power delivery will give the PJR motor away.In grasstrack it is up to the host club to pay for the engine to be measured after a £50 protest fee has been loged by the complaining team and If the motor is not of spec then the rider faces the fine and costs of measurement. Will the SCB follow these rules? The PJR motor will never be allowed in the Uk/world Jawa 250 speedway championship and yes they will tell a tuned motor from a standard one.Listen to the exhaust note.Lee Richardson was quoted at the Gp whilst watching the practise as saying 'I am listening to the exhaust note and can almost tell each tuner apart and who's bike it is without looking.' Enough said Phil
