Dudley V Isle Of Wight Koc Final 29/10
morganbike replied to cityrebel's topic in National League Speedway
A very unfair and insulting post panther. -
Too many points I reckon. Thought 40 was the limit. You got 35.73 without reserves. ??

Kent Kings V Dudley Heathens 26th Aug **3pm Start**
morganbike replied to a topic in National League Speedway
Boxhall the boxer defo threw his dummy out the pram and to punch another rider in the face after a no fault come together has not done him any favours. When you wear goggles a punch in the face can be very bad with the hard plastic and lens pushing hard into the nasal area and eyes. In my opinion he should have been fined and I hope he never guests for the heathens again. He should keep his dummy and rattle in the pushchair 😱 -
Mildenhall. Adam Ellis. Is that a possibility. ??

Absolute Boxxocks. Speed round the track depends on track conditions, atmosphere, temperature, engine set up,type of shale, amount of moisture in track, etc. Get real sunshine.
-
Of course they did that's what there paid for. Bad riders don't bring in the crowds chef you know. Aren't you the son of the people who take the dog to speedway. ???

That's what you get when you sign antiques. Very high value, been sat in the shop window for a while, and no matter how hard you try the speed and reaction has long gone. Kent missed the new age riders by a mile for being so slow to put the team together and now the fans are complaining. Not the perfect way to start a new team. Get the talent scouts out and look hard over winter to build a winning team. This season is already over realistically. Signing top conference league / reserve prem riders from 5 years ago is not the way to go. Look at Benji Compton.

Bates threw it away through his own stupidity trying too hard. 6 rides zero points He was in points scoring positions and at times completely out of control. -
The Heathens V Mildenhall < Grand Final>

Both teams requested to use Ellis at No 8 so it was amically agreed that he would not be used at all. With Roynon, and Morris taking two of Toms rides and putting the no 8 at 4 for 3 rides , It's up to DR , DG and JWW to keep the Cats at bay. -
It is good news that maybe Adam and Byron may ride on Tues in the double header. More importantly the other Dudley riders who do not ride prem will not get any competitive track time whilst Mildenhall will in theory ride today at home, The Isle on Tues, Individual at home Fri, Stoke on Sat. We saw at home last tues what happens with rusty riders and the 4 meets Mildy do will keep them race ready.

Isle Of Wight V Dudley (koc - S-f - 2nd Leg) - Thurs 09/08
morganbike replied to ellioth4's topic in National League Speedway
HEATHENS: Adam Roynon, Dan Greenwood R/R, Byron Bekker, Darryl Ritchings, Ashley Morris, Tom Perry, James White Williams. Isle Of White: Brendon is in for Danny -
Dan is away on holiday and will also miss Isle of White. Hopefully the Turkish weather will help heal the battering he got in heat 2 at Monmore last week and he returns fighting fit for the Mildenhall away match.

Please remember that this event is held under the duristiction of the FIM and not the SCB or ACU. Had Ziegler refused to ref the demo races then there would be none. The races are held under the FIM rules and maybe he felt thats how it should be run. Yes hard on the kids (my kid rode in 07 and 08) but he did as the rule book states. Maybe he wasn't taken aside by our uk representative and told how to run the demo races. Olie Olsen is the worst candidate here and every year he hates having the hassle of kids out before a GP. The main reason is exactly what happened here, the use of medical services which could delay the main event. However the meeting started on Friday at 2pm and ends sat eve so we cannot put a uk ref in for the demo races on sat at 3.15. There is no way round it and the experience of the pits and track prep, free tickets etc for the event is worth the invite so lets look forward to next year. I saw a rider in the 05 demo race who now rides for sheffield fall on the 1st corner and the race was stopped and all 4 back for restart. Dont knock the event, people in high places do read this forum. Nathan there is no need to applogise its the most dangerous two wheeled motor sport there is and thus accidents do happen frequently and do not allow any guilt to lay on your shoulders. At this moment in your life and for the rest of your carreer no one is perfect although many think they are. I hope you father gets through the next month OK and it obviously will be on your mind and effect your concentration/abilities at this moment in time.

Race 1 500's Dingle won Riders, Howarth Ritchings I anson Dingle Ritchings made the gate off 4 and lead comfortably for a few laps till his motor expired. 250,s not sure but there were 3 tape touches and restarts then a faller required medical attention so Ollie Olsen pulled the plug and cancelled any further activity.

Parking At The Millennium Stadium
morganbike replied to paulboy's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
We parked in the NCP opposite the main pit entrance. The roads are closed for 1 hour after the meeting ends to allow pedestrians to leave the stadium safely. Its quicker to go park and ride unless you leave immediatly after the final and run to the car. -
British U15 Championship 2009
morganbike replied to PhilK's topic in Youth Speedway and Development Leagues
The greatest loss to the series was Peter Oakes and it was the BSPA that forced him out. IN my opinion there are only two people capable of running it succesfully. One being Laurence Rogers and the other Richard Hollingsworth. The BSPA aka # Name Removed # and Reeve rarely attend Junior meetings or Second Halves so have no idea who riders are and their abilities. They are happy to put expenses in to fly abroad and book hotels for the under 19's /21's but will not part with enough cash to run the under 15's here in the UK. All it takes is £1000 per round to put on at any track. A classic quote I can give was in March 2008 when Oakes had packed in and I rang Reeve to ask about the series and any dates. I offered my services to help and to supply names of eligable riders. He said its ok we are writing to the 8 riders who currently have licences and have some dates i the pipeline. He then questioned as to who I was and then said Does your son ride !!. Yes I said, have you not heard of him. No came the reply. If the Chairman of the BSPA and also a match referee at the time had never heard of the 2007 under 15's Champion then what hope is there. The under 16 debate has been discussed and will never work without conflict. What could happen is that riders who are aged 15 and 16 that are new to the sport could be allowed to take part. A good example of a riders who has missed out on this years competition is Connor Dwyer who has done a year on a 250 and is just getting onto a 500. He is too old to enter the Under 15's but would benefit from the racing it produces. I believe he cannot ride regularily with that age/ability group at second halves either because of his licence. However if a team wanted him to, he can ride in the National League. Phil
