  1. Travel from Airport. Whilst I have read Phil's opening post I am still keen to jump in a mini bus and get driven direct to my hotel. Using easyjets connections I have come up with a £6 each way deal so far for 5 of us. If I type in 8 it comes down to £5. Is there anyone traveling from Gatwick at 9am on the Friday. If so do you want to share transport into the City. Hopefully we can persude the driver to do multi-drops. Let me know ASAP and I will get this booked. Thanks Edit; oops - 9am is check in. 11am is flight time (silly me!!)
  2. Also understand there is a 'Barbie' museum at the edge of the Castle which Lora plans on checking out! Maybe very similar to the Torture Museum to the rest of us!!!!
  3. We have one of the suites!!! Thought we would splash out a bit for this one. Still cheaper than Copenhagen though. Booked in the name of FELTHAM for anyone that wants to pop in and join the fun. Kitten wont be at this one so we will need cheering up.
  4. A friend has asked to look at the photo's of Dans injuries but they appear to have been taken of the web pages. Does anyone know where I can get a copy from to e mail to someone Thanks
  5. You're on. There is also a great Blues Club somewhere in town but at this moment in time I cant find the card we picked up last time. Thanks for that Phil. Having just coped with the Copenhagen traffic that is a good tip. I have never known traffic and speeds like it!! I did like their pedestrian lights though - they showed how long in seconds till the green lights come on and as you walked it counted down till the red lights. Dont ask the games we played waiting for the green lights though - imagination helps though. Why was I always last from the tapes!! Quick question - who is staying where? Bees and Crazy Sue staying in the Andel.
  6. See you at the airport - come and say hi. We have the pink cowboy hats with us like normal.
  7. Okay - hope you like your fellow travellers. Seriously - road trips are great fun - enjoy and hopefully see you there
  8. With respect Az - how can you say your stadium is better than Coventry's. I love coming to Swindon but the Coventry facilites are very high class. Its easy PP - turn left!!! It isnt far from the motorway at all. Junction 15 onto the A419 and keep going. Pick up signs for Blunsdon and the stadium will be signposted of the A419
  9. Just a quick thread to see who we can meet up with at the end of the Week. The Fairies and associates will be staying in The Grand. And we will be having Kitten as our tour guide for the weekend. Are you going?
  10. we will need more than the 3 day pass so used the 7 day pass to calculate. this being 280K. Using http://www.oanda.com/convert/classic it converts to £6.28 still cheap whichever is correct and I wont be changing my travel plans
  11. I am sure physical punishment is more up his street but I actually got him by soaking him with a bottle of water the other night. He was trying to diss the bees. Bad mistake Matthew!! please show them Rico - or send me them via e mail!!!
  12. You may not be drinking but I definately will. With beer so cheap I intend to get nearly as drunk as Nikkif in Poland!! But £6.28 to cover the trams on our 4 day trip is certainly something I hadnt budgeted for!
  13. Nothing is ever free - it was simply calculated into the cost of your ticket wasnt it! Sorry its the synic (sp) in me
  14. Come on Chives - I thought Cainy got it right and we all got it wrong!! PB - superb photo Davis - the ones of me are awful and I forbid you to show them. I am so fat -my arms look like tree stumps. I will have to beat you severely when I next see you xx
  15. Actually London Witch, he was trying to find us!! Chivs told him where we were approximately and of course our pink hats are a give away BUT - being the true proffesional that he is, he couldnt wave as he needed to concentrate coming out of the bend (or so he told me later that night)!! SO - we weren't ignored - just you by the looks of it!!!!!! hehehehe
  16. Good on you FTM - The guy is a true Leg-end!!
  17. So - what ideas can we come up with then for next year, apart from the simple one from Ian, which is always a good idea. I like the idea of pony and trap - especially if pony decides to do what ponies do on journeys. Would make the track more interesting for the racing to follow!!!
  18. I believe Chivs and Gem are both wrong. Only once did I see the little red tractor pass a big red tractor! It got really boring towards the end. I dont think any of the tractor drivers were trying that hard, none of them really wanted it badly enough! And whose silly idea was it giving them all the same colours. Red! I know the people in our block were getting very confused. Why couldnt they have organised all four colours - it would have made it a lot easier to follow.
  19. Agree with Nikki - blink and it was over. But what a fantastic experience. Champions in the making. Give them the sweet smell of success I say!
  20. Dont you start. If I was a track grader and my kiddies were sat in the crowd - I would wave at them. It only took a second on the 4th bend for goodness sake and there were no problems there!.
  21. I dont think so! I know one of the drivers and he is a very committed trackman - totally proffesional through and through. But he reads the forum and so no doubt will be happy to answer for himself - if he thinks it's worth it!
  22. I dont buy any paper so I dont know what they say BUT I have suddenly remembered that on the way into the stadium some woman asked us (Nikki and myself) if we wouldnt mind having our photo taken in front of the stadium for the local papers. We had our Pink Cowboy hats on!! Any one on here see the local rag? I want to know if I am famous!!!
