Thanks Ozy What a shame, Rory needs all the competitive racing he can get at the moment. As well as it being a terrible state of affairs for their national championships -

Well it was worth a try!!! And Sue - I typed Reading into Route planner and according to some guy called AA he said its closer for you than Coventry (but only by 10 minutes). Coventry would have been nicer though. Large warm bars, toilets which are clean, huge free car park, lots of food outlets and a decent stand. Reading - your 'aving a giraffe! -

Dont suppose there is a chance of cheaper tickets seeing as there is no rent to pay to the stadium owners this year?! -

Nice one Gem. Must start looking up Beachfront hotels as we all know everyone uses the World Cup as an excuse to have a weekend away. Do you think my 2s & 6d will be enough? -

Brilliant news. We heard this at the track this afternoon, apparently he called the office to let Colin know (aah - sweet!!). It must be blooming late in Australia but their meetings dont often finish till midnight gone. Hopefully we will get scores later once people have had a chance to get a kip. Well done Rory. The start of new beginnings

Academy League Final
Sandie replied to Wildcat Steve's topic in Youth Speedway and Development Leagues
This was a brilliant part of the Brighton Bonanza. Some people were sceptical about the idea but personally I think I enjoyed the youngsters more than I did the main event. And as for Coventry's very own RICHARD 'Titch' FRANKLIN - what a superstar. Still so very young but coming out to win his heat which possibly nailed it for the Buffalo's. If you were there - We were (are) his fan club. Great entertainment boys. Congratulations to Peter Oakes for a fine show from these boys and Martin Dugard and Co for allowing them to take part. -
Cant imagine for one moment that a single Pole could afford to finance a trip to Monaco - it would take a years salary + I would imagine. Sounds wondrful but not very practicable
-
Great line up. But Bryn please get some cotton wool out and wrap Rory in it please. This will be his first 'competitive' ride and at times I think I worry more than his mum!!!
-
Well I want it at Coventry for one reason only - It will really p**s off Steve Shovar!
-
Thank you kind people. Rory departs the cold climes tomorrow so will be back in your warm country on Sunday. Dont make him to welcome as we want him to return next year!!
