  1. I think they've already said the stadium is unavailable in March, but I can't check because someone has taken the Speedway Star to bed with them. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Rugby season in full flow, probably something to do with that
  2. Not that easy Steve Flights fine (but expensive at the moment) but hotels are fully booked. Do try reading Paul - there are always cancellations but we have tried to get more rooms at the Brda but cant. Try Trave Plus Tours. there is a link on the front page of forum
  3. But the German cheapest is still cheaper than the Cardiff cheapest which means there must be hundreds of die-hards as they dont have a problem coming over here.
  4. I have just had a play on Seetickets. This site says it offers you the best available seats. I got: £75 Block O - Start/finish line £56 Block M - 1st corner £45 Block L 1st corner £36 Block D2 Back straight / D1 backstraight and C2 Backstraight As Rob says - nothing about where the standing is - possibly 3rd/4th bend as no seats available there. But who knows??!!!c
  5. Because someone decided he deserved it! Simple Get over it!
  6. Well this one is new for us speedway fans but maybe some of our international forum members or travelling football fans can give us some tips. Where to stay, what to do. Done lots of surfing and lots of ideas but are they the right ones. So - help, tips and advise needed please
  7. Just done the sums and I reckon a car of 5, ferries, 1 night cheap hotels, tickets and fuel will work out at £60 each. These are VERY basic sums.
  8. You going for the Miss Smootie award this year! and shhh - dont tell anyone that she's my youngest - there's one older and grumpier than her!!!
  9. Yes Jo it does. So its confirmed - now to plan Lora's 20th Birthday Party Road trip!!!! Was looking at getting a mini-bus for this but the insurance for taking it abroad was ridiculous - so it will have to be a convoy!!
  10. I love the way even the reults are phoned through as a 'pair'.
  11. It must be me but I do find him a problem to chat to as I often can't understand what he is saying. Lovely lad with a lovely Welsh accent though. I could listen to him talking all day, as long as he doesn't mind me looking blankly at him half the time as my brain is frantically trying to catch up. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> # Is that why you rushed of to the back of the room last night Gem!!!
  12. I had a text from the Schleins this evening saying it was raining which is great after the drought and forest fires. But has now left the titles in jeapody. Fngers crossed. Taken from Gillman speedway website - Solo Championship Confirmed As Saturday Night Gillman Media posted Friday January 19, 2007. The South Australian Solo Championship, with almost half the field from last weekend's Australian Championship, is confirmed as Saturday night, 20 January, not Friday night as The Advertiser has incorrectly printed in our advert. Defending champion Rory Schlein, and Australian Under 21 Champion Chris Holder, will start as joint-favourites, but will face tough opposition from the likes of Matthew Wethers, Tom Hedley, Cory Gathercole, Cameron Woodward, Robert Ksiezak, Trevor Harding, Tyron Proctor to name a few. Only four can make the final.
  13. OMG - SCB says it again. But good on you SCB for standing up and being counted And Vince you said: I will happily talk to anybody and have spoken to SCB several times when he has been polite and no problem to chat to. I personally have never known him any but polite and no problem to chat to. you just have to put your self in a position to get to know these people.
  14. Sounds great BFT but your not going to tell us anything more about the tour then! PS -Johnno's exploits are already covered by two other threads. We are quick over here!! Keep us updated if you read or hear anything. He may have beaten Roo for that 3rd place but he's one of the good guys. I hope he cn find a way of getting back for the start of the season
  15. Great photo's steve but who is the wannabee Bees fan in photo 42!!!
  16. Thats a shame MFE as every other post on here supports a good day out and some good racing. Didnt use the loos so cant comment Careful Sub - this post has nothing to do with the topic and could be classed as Trolling!
  17. Impressive. He is a gater and looked really good until he started into the backstraight and seemed to go down the order. But give him some time on the track and get his confidence up and I think he will be quite a catch. I did hear he would be coming in on an 8.0 average which seems to be a bit high(but what do I know!!) - is this true? As for the afternoon - An interesting journey thanks to the herd of deer (to complicated to explain here!) Lovely sunny weather in Newport. Good racing which included rubbing SCB's nose in it and a nearly Chris Harris win!! Congrats to David but Chris had it sewn up from gate to finad bend and then just took his foot of the gas, possibly hit a rut which on any normal day he would have attacked but he slowed and Howe went past for the win. Chris didnt look to disappointed though - he's a good sport. 2 of the final places were agreed by a toss of a coin and I will let SCB give you the quote of the day when he's next on line. Good day out and a great fix of speedway.
  18. My mistake - Stead got a race win and Doyle didnt. I missed that before. Havent got time to update my spreadsheet now - got to get ready for work. ut I will try later
  19. Thats not very nice Rob - what has he ever done to you to deserve being called 'it'!!! Sorry - couldnt resist
  20. Not sure Iris - not his best night for sure 0.....1.....0.....X.......did not go out for 5th
