  1. 10/10 for effort but we hope you enjoy it there. All the top riders and fans are going to Gelsenkirchen But Im sure the other place is very pretty - if not a bit quiet!!!
  2. Thats correct Steve - and I suggested discussion. Not bickering and handbags and cots and toys!! I love a good debate where there is merit and new thought but already it has turned into a twit-4-tat meaningless I know more than you, Im right your not, thread. Lets give the 7's a chance. Im not overhappy with some of the ideas (pin up girls, fuel girls and evening meetings!!) but if it benefits the sport then thats what is important. And we wont know if it has been successful till the end of he season. So long as its all evaluated properly and mistakes rectifed we can ask for no more than that. But of course thats just my opinion!!!!
  3. Fact or Assumpton?! Anyhow........ Can you guys not give it a rest on the bickering for a few months. If you feel you must, then start again in 6 months time but please - give it a rest. If I am right here, I have the right (as the originator of the thread) to have it deleted or locked! DONT MAKE ME DO IT!!!! Please?
  4. Using AA roadwatch I took the following, because Im sat here bored!!! ...........................K/L............Sheffield Swindon.............3:10..............3:07 Lakeside.............2:07..............3:11 Coventry............2:11..............1:39 Oxford................2:31..............2:28 Peterborough......0:55..............1:50 Ipswich...............1:34..............3:15 Wolves................2:40..............1:53 Belle Vue.............3:08.............1:01 Poole...................4:04.............4:06 Reading...............2:54..............3:04 Eastbourne...........3:30.............4:22 Just thought it was interesting!! And maybe if I bother to read over the last 30 posts properly (I just havent lost the will to live YET!) I may add some additional comments.
  5. ......and as Shawn is offering to be fairground ride-escort for this it looks better by the minute.
  6. Fair point, I may have to join you in the comfort zone this year. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> The more the merrier. Just get yourself one of those fold up chairs - im sure Hayley will carry that and then James can carry the blanket. That just leaves you to carry the flask of coffee!!
  7. But awful viewing. Being a short a**se I always struggle here - and its no good for the old syatica (sp) At my age I need to be able to sit down and have a bit of comfort
  8. Definately Bydgoszcz according to your Dad. Your hotel room is all booked for you
  9. Lupus has a good point. (Did I say that!!) Im not happy its on a Thursday night but I need to weigh up before I commit to going- Sunday and not all the top riders present or Thursday and a line up to make your mouth water. And at least we have been given dates as to when the line ups will be announced as well. A lot of transparancy this year which helps.
  10. SS - Im well aware of sheffields race night - but forgive me if Im mistaken but Saturday isnt Kings Lynn Race night, is it?, nor is Sunday Swindons or Peterborough's. Yes it is great for family speedway but it still requires 'adults' to take a days leave as the gates for this open as early as 5.30pm and then posibly the Friday as leave as well as it will be a later night than a standard league fixture. We enjoyed going to events like this on a Saturday or Sunday as it made a day of it. I think its a great idea to move these events around a bit but I dont understand why its been moved to an evening. Falcace - Look what Ive done - having thought it would be easier for people to discuss the events they wanted too - allowing people to see he wood for the trees - I've gone and posted about a specific event here! Doh!! Overall it sounds a good idea and its very well advertised - bringing Elite and Premier together. But like all things it isnt going to please us all 100%

  17. I really want to be positive about these events as they have listened to the fans. But its a regular thursday night with work on a Friday and the gates open at 5.30pm. So no point going if you want a view and have to work first. £20 is a lot and it doesnt please me but its what I expected.

  21. Yep - all dates put in diary already and whilst I agree with a lot of the things - not at all happy with a couple of the dates! EL Riders on a Thursday night! What is all that about
  22.
