Who's Going To Cardiff
Sandie replied to lady s's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Good thought but the thing about Cardiff is its like the office Christmas Party. we all go to meet up and get smashed. I dont know about the scottish ones but Wembley will not produce the 'overall weekend' affect that we want You must be an absolute stunner then. In the know is drop dead gorgeous so I really need to meet you Mr The Know (please ) -

You still wouldnt get to the plate before Chivsy!! -
This reminds me of the beginning of the meeting as the riders were collecting on behalf of the Riders Benev Fund. My fellow supporter and I kept having to ask SCB who they were as they passed by. Some we recognised obviously but not all. We also commented that our pennies were going in the good looking one's cap. This proved a little difficult as we realised many were young enough to be our sons. But all worked out well when PUK came by!

Bydgoczsz Grand Prix 2008
Sandie replied to pedropete's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Pete This was on one of the 2007 threads for Bydgoszcz. Im sure Matt will confirm all when he reads the thread -
And a few Bees fans to scared to watch at certain points!! Including Rory's last to first - phew!!!!. But pleased to say they all came through okay. Just hope Harlow has survived after one of the Coventry team with pit crew chose to stay over last night!!! And its a joke that Bomber has won the holiday!!! The last holiday he and his girlfriend took was a real comical apparently. She was laying by the pool and he spent all his time back on the phone talking through the new yer with Chris Anderson. Apparently he doesnt do holidays and doing nothing!! Lets hope he can ski or attempt to ski!!!

A very enjoyable meeting and an overall fun afternoon and evening. Didnt get the text about updates until about heat 8 when I moved to go somewhere and finally got a signal!!! And by that time there was no way you could have picked up the previous heats with a format that needs a lot of concentration. Nearly £500 on the auction if memory serves and £600 on the raffle so thats a nice little packet to assist Stuart. The only dissapointment, and it isnt a dig, was the fact that the microphone wasnt working in the bar and Im sure more could have bee raised if voices could have carried further back for the ones at the far end to participate. But thats life - a goodly amount of money was raised. Congratulations to everyone that put in their time yesterday to support Robbo. It was much appreciated by the viewing rabble

Just decided Nikki and I may head up for this if we can both get off work. Tried on numerous occassions to make our first visit but no luck yet. Fingers crossed for tonight -
I also believe a few Southern track rides close to Stuart are hoping for a spin at some point too!! Personally I wouldnt bother - I'm happy go watch confernce riders but Southern track is just going to far Seriously I hope it happens - it could be fun, knowing these guys. I'll hide the Jaegermister till after the meeting I think Im more excited bout this than I am about next Monday

SB, its times like this I could shake you!!! So long as Scott has spoken to Stuart and or the orgainsers I dont care why he cant attend. I am willing to accept that he would have been there if he could. Meets like this are organised a long time in advance and Im sure like all riders there is an acceptance that things change - whether it be personal or proffessional. Im happy with the 32 out there - just wondering where they put all the bloomin vans!!!
