  1. Taken very roughly from the BSPA website - Monday 31st March Jason Crump is the first confirmed rider for Steve Johnston's testimonial meeting at Coventry on June 22. The double world champion, who is in fine form for Belle Vue, was only too ready to accept the invitation. He said: "There's probably three or four other guys in speedway that I've got as much time for as Johno, and thats it. He's of my best four or five mates in the sport". So rider number one is announced. Watch this space for the serious stuff about Johno's meeting but still enjoy the queuing 'soap' on the other thread. More riders as and when announced -------------------------------------- THE JOHNO TESTIMONIAL Coventry, 22nd June 2008, 1pm LEIGH ADAMS, SCOTT NICHOLLS, JASON CRUMP
  2. LOL - only if he has had an age reversal, lost a few pounds and dyed his hair!!!!! Sorry Steve!!
  3. Oh but how we try!!! (Did a quick faceBook test the other day. One of these - 'Which One's'- I laughed me socks off when the question was - 'Who can drink the most - Shazzybird or Nikki!!! Sorry just thought I had to share)
  4. .....and I think it has already been suggested (maybe on the terraces if not on here), that when Johnno and team want to start offering information about his testimonal a SERIOUS - THE IMPORTANT STUFF thread will be opened. And I have no doubt that, at that time, people will be serious. It will certainly happen with us Bees fans who have contributed to this thread - we are not going to see Johnno loose out, nor I guess any others on here. As for Johnno - apparently he doesnt read the BSF so he is none the wiser!
  5. It could be arranged BFD!!! As for the weather - shut it!!!! Its Easter week and its ruddy freezing!!! Will need to do a soup run up and down the queue if this continues. What does everyone want?
  6. And not wanting to loose out the Aussie Prime Minister, John Howard, also gets in on the act - queue here
  7. See you there Mojo. And our GP tickets arrived today (thats Queen Bee and me) - darn good service and thanks Tomaz for your assistance.
  8. yes please - a double vodka (thats a double bottle!!) Just got in fro a hammering at Wolves and I need it!!!!! You buying
  9. Not sure 2 = a queue but they were there and it did make us laugh!!! And I took them all the way for you. Okay - I'll drop them in the post to you.
  10. Tha will be £8 please MM. £3 a programme plus £1 per programme delivery charge!!!! Only joking
  11. .....now people could take that the wrong way!!!! Luckily I understand and based on that - personally I thought the whole programme was crap!!!!! (Tries finding all the smilies possible to make people realise Im am JOKING!!!) For those that arent quite getting tis -Silver Bee produced all of the advertising for Nick from the posters, flyers, Speedway star adverts, programme cover and programme inserts. And SCB designed the racecrad and Nicks Testimonial website - www.nicksimmonsspeedway.co.uk or HERE. It will be updated either today or tomorrow as Im still trying to clean the car oout and sort out all the bits and pieces a meeting like this leaves you with AND Im off to Wolves tonight. So please be patient
  12. *safrican american* You - a fan - of Nick or the racing - heavens to bettsie!!!! And theonly thing Nick is probably feeling today is a damn big headache!!!
  13. Finally got home after a brilliant but exhausting day. May put a bit more tomorrow but just noticed the above post. The weather may have kept people away but as Watson was declared as not riding till this morning I sure that wasnt a factor!! Time for a shower, then bed.
  14. Not sure if that was to Nevs or me !! But I'll answer anyway. Dont be so darn supid - this is Newport where they run in anything. The forecast is for clear skies later so, as long as the track copes then so will we. Just having a cup of tea before we head off into Wales. Really quite nervous now as we want to put on a brilliant show for Nick. And of course that can only happen if you guys come on down. Trust me - the weather will be fine!! Good Luck Nick - hope you have a marvoulous day - you are a smashing young man (with a wierd sense of humour - just ask the shop worker in tesco!!) but you deserve this day - you are a keeper. Lots of love Sandie, Nikki and Lora xxxx
  15. Oh blast - and there was me hoing that if it was cancelled I could have the 3rd, 4th and 5th raffle prizes!!! Yummm - chocolate!! Seriously thanks Nicholas, based on that Im NOT going to look at MetO anymore today. Wonder if we will sleep tonight - its a bit like waiting for Christmas day
  16. We may even take credit and debit cards on the day. We wont give them back but I may take them!!!!!!!
  17. Big Final Tanya. 20 heats followed by a final. Just looked at the Beeb forecast - It should be dry at the time of the meeting, so it depends on how well the track holds up with the drowning it will take in the next 24 hours.
  18. No - just a straight forward 20+1 heat meeting. Keeping it simple.
  19. Please, please, please can we bottle todays weather here in Nicks home village and keep it for Sunday. Its glorious
  20. Another day done and dusted.Bomber and Billy J have come through their meeting tonight unscathed. Never before have I scanned the threads to make sure all riders for Sunday have all stayed upright during their meetings. Only thing to worry about currently is the weather. But power of positive thinking - it will be fine
