  1. Hmm - either you got it wrong or the drivers have bought the wrong maps!!! ITS UKRAINE for the Under 21's! Getting to excited weren't you Mr Evans. And a reminder of those who want to come see the UK part of the tour ISLE OF WIGHT- TUESDAY 10TH APRIL KINGS LYNN - WEDNESDAY 11TH APRIL MERCIA VIKINGS - FRIDAY 13TH APRIL (This is a 2nd half after Coventry v Kings Lynn) RYE HOUSE - SATURDAY 14TH APRIL BUXTON - SUNDAY 15TH APRIL
  2. yes, yes yes!!! Some memories now. I bet Lora will remember a lot more though. I will ask her. Moving on though - only 20 more sleeps before chaos reigns!! Bring on the sunny weather, that's is the norm for Easter Tours - isn't that right Gary? Oh how I remember those shorts!
  3. I dont remember that! Hmm - I must be getting old
  4. Martin Smolinski has just that just 1hour and 15 minutes ago (so around 12.30pm) they asked him to ride but he is already on a boat back to Germany. Nothing like leaving it to the last minute. I wonder who they have been waiting on, who has let them down?!
  5. Im sure I read somewhere that he made it into the bar after the meeting, so if that's any indication - he will be fine!
  6. It is beautiful. Certainly not what we would normally expect for a speedway season start! But when the sun goes down it will get chilly so be prepared. Oh and remember - sunglasses and baseball cap required at Brum - a setting sun is a major problem!
  7. Yep - high step for little legs = bad option. But I still do it. Im 4ft 11 and 3/4 inches by the way!!!
  8. Looking like another sunny day with light winds. Viewing is not brilliant at PB in the main area along the start finish line. Its quite flat. But if you head towards the 1st bend you will find a couple of temporary (permanent!) stands. I will be in there somewhere as its the only hope I have of getting a decent view! But think we may need to be there early to claim our spot! There is a car park at the ground but its quite small and pricey. Its only a few minutes walk from over the road - google map it and have a look.
  9. And finally he realises this! LOL With photograph for the tour girls approval please!!
  10. Not sure if you know but the names on the table are: Greg Hancock, Ryan Fisher, Ricky Wells, Kenny Ingalls and Billy Hamill. Not a bad team any 4 from that 5. I wouldnt rule them out Blaze.
  11. Phil, whilst I agree with you that Greg's involvement would be amazing, you have to remember that Billy Hamill and friends have been working and building one of the best junior events I know off. I mention this now as it is of course the GUMBALL RALLY this weekend and everyone I know in US speedway is heading in that direction as we speak. Wish we had something like it here in the UK. US speedway as a whole is on the rise and we are working heavily to make sure it remains there. There is some good US talent still to 'exploit' here in the UK. (Hijack over) Monster - definitely good for the sport
  12. so come on then, name sponsors with this sort of money who are good for speedway?
  13. Hang on - New Zealand are behind us, so if the GP is on SATURDAY evening then it will be SATURDAY morning over here I think but then again I'm now confuzzled! So, when are you going to sleep???
  14. The proposed fixtures are: April 10th Isle of Wight April 11th King's Lynn April 14th Rye House April 15th Buxton
  15. Hmm - only if I can have seats as good as those I had last time I was there!!! And if you promise Beckham will be guest of honour and Victoria can be the pre-meeting entertainment! LOL
  16. Sorry Vogster - not this tour.
  17. Will you be up at 10am on a Saturday Cookie ? That way they can start at 11pm - do you think they will go with that??
  18. WIND YOUR BLOOMIN NECK IN!!!!! (Yes I'm shouting!!) You know I love you SCB but please please please step away from the keyboard. You have made your point which to be honest is rubbish but your passion does your proud and normally I would be there shouting it with you but you are wrong! I'm a Warwickshire Tax Payer and that is no different to you being a Welsh tax payer until of course Wales is no longer part of Great Britain and has full independency. Obviously if your fight for world domination continues then Newport will need to have its own league as it will be a Welsh League and they will then ride against themselves every week. You cant have it all SCB - now behave xxx How can you tell!!!
  19. And not forgetting the one day international the day before in the same stadium. Lots of fans, me included very tempted to find a way to get a little cricket and some speedway that weekend. And I'm not sure where but I think there is already a thread on this. There were a few comments and it faded away.
  20. Anyone know if there will be any tweeting on the meeting this afternoon?
  21. Yes he is and if it is going to be a New Zealander then Ricky is probably the best of the bunch. And then watch all those Yanks claim him back for the day!!!
