Race For The Play Offs 2014
Pirates Of Poole replied to Sienna Ryan's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Interesting read up in the Bournemouth echo, Matt states Piotr Pawlicki is banned for 28 days, does this mean he can guest for any team after 28 days as he is still declared in the Wolves team? -

Brady and Jack look Poole bound. http://www.bournemouthecho.co.uk/sport/11462126.Speedway__Poole_Pirates_set_to_swoop_for_Somerset_s_teenage_prospect_Brady_Kurtz/?ref=var_0

Poole would also make money, crowds have been decent all season. Brady I would guess will be Swindon bound as he seems to spend a lot of time with Rosco.

Darcy Ward
Pirates Of Poole replied to Seymour Dix's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Getting a bit of joke from FIM with regards to a hearing for Darcy, They took 11 days to suspend him and now a long time to arrange a hearing! If this was superbikes or F1 this would have been wrapped up with 7 days lawyers included! Goes to show the FIM stance on speedway! -

King's Lynn Stars 2014
Pirates Of Poole replied to Bagpuss's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
This is where the stupid cut off comes in to place on the 28th August! A team losses an important rider through no fault of their own and have to use guests and RR for the rest of the season. Poole had this with Piotr in 2012, general transfers should be stopped but injuries should be allowed to be replaced if they wish too and stop robbing the general public of new permanent riders coming in. -

We will see but his 2+1 in the last meeting in April does not fill me with confidence. -

Who is riding for Poole??? -
Matt has had 11 days to think of a plan B in case this happened, to be honest this was always going to happen. Poor preparation and short sighted if you ask me.

Speedway Champions League ?
Pirates Of Poole replied to PolskiZuzel's topic in International World of Speedway
Does anyone know if this will go out live on eurosport? -
Well done on using some of the quote!!!!!! Cook is on the panel and this will effect LS! Yes I am a Poole fan but I am far from as massive Matt Ford fan, I don't want this to shadow a possible league title in October as all the anti Poole people will be on here saying we cheated. This needs to be clarified very very clearly tomorrow either way.
-
Bottom line is if Poole have tried to re-declare illegally then the BSPA will not sanction the new team. Simple as that, it has happened in the past to Poole and other teams. If they have broken the rules there are other EL owners on the panel that won't let this through. Only time will tell if the re declare is accepted. How I read the write up at the bottom of the page could be taken either way, interesting though there is a clear black line under rider 25 onwards.

Maybe Eddie Kennett a good option for a 28 day stay? 5.25 against Josh 5.45.
-
He will look at Dennis or Zorro I reacon, a good choice I think would be Jedrejak.
-
Matt has confirmed he will look to replace Josh for a month.

Poole V Kings Lynn 28/05/2014
Pirates Of Poole replied to Gavan's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Wow well done to the Stars on a great away win! 2 losses at home on the trot is not good enough, we all know we win nothing this time of year but we must start improving at home. May be worth starting by employing someone who can produce a good track week in week out!! Changes yet? i doubt it just yet but we all know Matt wont sit around. THJ and Zorro? -
Poole Pirates Vs Coventry Bees 21/5/2014
Pirates Of Poole replied to Shaleshifter's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Well done to the Bees last night. Have to say Hanson looks a great signing, smooth and fast. Lets hope we can get back on track for the rest of the week and gear up for a massive match against KL next Wednesday. People complain about the TR rule but it has worked for us on many occasions and sometimes against, they are the rules.
