  1. So turning the site into a working community hub isn’t the answer? So much can be done to utilise the stadium and it’s use but it sits empty all winter. If it was put in the right hands it would be a massive attraction for locals and people coming into the area. Look at Oxford! You invest you get your rewards all you need is some to realise that. People saying oh it won’t change anything, with that attitude it won’t, you have to fight to keep the site and you need to do that in numbers. The site could be used for so much, concerts (planning required) boxing events, go karting, Poole town Fc (Bigger speedway track installed) outside of sports a restaurant/cafe hub, Christmas markets the list goes on.
  2. BCP and Osborne will have a fight on there hands if they try and close the stadium. Osborne does not own the land which is a blessing, if he doesn’t want to continue the lease then Mr Ford could take it on and if Mr Ford wishes not to there is other local business people that would take it on. There is plenty of local business people that would take it on and turn it into a multi use facility. I’m very confident BCP will soon back step once knowledge is in the public eye. We went through this at the end of 1995 when the council tried to close the stadium, and thousand of fans turned up at the civic centre which they didn’t expect! Poole’s main sporting event is speedway in the town, that has been here for 75 years, it’s unique and taking that out the town would be a massive mistake. Closing speedway isn’t just a sport it’s a weekly gathering and community for so many people and taking that away will have knock on effects.
  3. Both Thompson’s at Plymouth and Stake at Glasgow.
  4. Not massively excited by Brennan as feel a more balanced team could have been used with his plus 7 average, for example 2 five point riders instead of a 7 and a 3 etc
  5. Thompson’s won’t be at Poole, already signed for another champ team.
  6. Worrall just confirmed he won’t be back at Poole in 2024.
  7. Well done Scunthorpe, well deserved. poor return again from Worrall and Lawson finally getting organised towards the end of the meeting. For 2024 - Lawson, Ben & Zach will likely be our top 3.
  8. We need Kyle from reserve on it Wednesday as Kemp for them is going to run riot.
  9. Massive congratulations to Glasgow what a performance over the 2 legs, well deserved. They turned up and wanted it, sadly we didn’t show much of that spirit tonight apart from Ben Cook.
  10. Good to see Ben Cook the first Poole rider to have a bit of handle bar racing and putting it on the line. Well done Ben!!
  11. Absolute disgrace from all Poole riders, off the pace and not even at the races. Glasgow have one hand on this title who are getting stuck in. Need to steady the ship or this is going be over by heat 10 this final. Gaters paradise but same for both sides.
  12. No Anders tonight, that’s a big loss as he does well at Glasgow normally.
  13. Then if I was Oxford I would refuse to ride in that case, most important meeting of the season and your without your skipper!
