No average changes will take place now, August averages are what Poole have to play with. Dudek? cant see that one happening would be 6.50. -

Tell me BritPete why would Poole want to drop their averages in this meeting? -

Pirates Of Poole replied to SteveLyric2's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
We were simply beaten by the better team tonight! Some of our riders performances were well under par. And people saying about average dropping why would we do that? August averages are already set and changes can only be made until the 28th of August so winning or coming last won't make a difference to averages for changes. -
Having read Tungates statement last night I thought a rider like him would never knock a rider off on purpose.....until I have just seen footage on YouTube. Rohan was not actually that near the second place rider like was made out when crossing the line, they actually make contact coming out of the second bend and if someone had done it accidentally surely you would return to the schene to make sure the rider is ok? I'm shocked at what I saw and never would have thought it of a very quiet Tubgate normally. He has let Ipswich speedway and himself down massively and deserves a heavy punishment regardless if they have history.

Matt didn't actually say no team changes, he said he wouldn't break up the team for Darcy as his average so high. Watch this space as i think there may be movement soon! Anyway well done Swindon on a great win last night, Darcy was on fire although i felt he wasn't too bothered about heat 15. A couple of riders in the Poole team need to start looking over their shoulder.

Leicester V Swindon Mon 29th June Sky Match
Pirates Of Poole replied to robert72's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
I would be surprised if Adrian scores 5 points but don't think the 1 meeting will effect his average for a month. 8.21 to play with. -

Cut off is 23rd of the month so fixture later this month won't effect July averages. -

Regardless of what may or may not of happened, the answer will come in the next couple of weeks. If Darcy comes into the team i think we know the answer to what was happening last night. -

Poole V Kings Lynn - Wednesday 3rd June.
Pirates Of Poole replied to SteveLyric2's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
If Magic doesn't turn up on Wednesday for Poole and decides to ride for Poland in a challange match that will be the end of him at Poole this season. We need to be at full strength for this match to overturn KL, if Magic goes down this route Poole could get a facility for 28 days until Darcy comes back. -

I would have happily taken a point after heat 7 tonight! But we should have taken advantage of KL injury issues and didn't, some of the riders need to take a good long look at themselves as this was by far unacceptable from certain areas of the team. Well done to KL who put up a great fight with all the team scoring, great victory. -

Watt will score the same at Coventry on Monday as a second string! To me he has been woeful before and after Injury for Poole this season. Buster probably needs to sell more teas and beers!! -

Think Middlo will need one as he is going to be kicking 4 riders backsides around the pits! Hopefully after that they may score some points. -

Luckily Holder and Magic turned up! Watt should have stayed in bed, his form is alarming. -

You are disputing the reason though! this wasn't about team strength at all at the time!!! we could have reverted back for 1 meeting, but had we done that the team average would have increased and the riders invested in would not be able to come into the team. So you are saying if you spent £15,000 of your own money but had nothing to show for it you would be happy with that? The club could not control injuries in europe, if the rules at the time allowed a guest for a rider that had not ridden for the club yet the meeting would have gone ahead. This does not happen very often but I'm sure it will do again in the future. -

This is when a squad system would have worked! we ask for it but never delivered!! -

That was not down to 'robbing the public' that was down to the fact we had re-declared the team spent around £15,000 on getting THJ and Shamek over and they both got injured. If Matt had reverted back to the original line up and run the meeting he would have been unable to fit both back in duo to average increases therefore losing alot of money. If the rules allowed like for like guests at the time the meeting would have gone ahead no problem. In this situation I'm sure if KL asked Matt to call the meeting off he would not have a problem at all about doing that. -

Bjarne was not on £4000 a meeting i can assure you! He was only being paid by the points he scored as agreed in his contract. -
