Fingers crossed the council see through this attempt and kick the planning out immediately without it even getting that far. Reading, Swindon, Coventry and even Poole soon enough, anything with Osbourne involved or as an advisor I would be very concerned, he is trying it at Poole but the council and standing strong with strict criteria at the moment, the speedway has to be relocated and new site built and finished BEFORE and works could happen. In Coventry case as everyone can see, the houses will be built all around the stadium then it will be decided the speedway will be too noisy or makes no money so we shall put another 200 houses on the Brandon site, people involved must think we came down in the last shower! the same people keep doing this and it never ends well for Speedway. Good luck to all involved as I look forward to returning to Brandon to watch speedway soon!

I think Zach may well make a U-Turn as it would have been announced last Friday!
-
The 8 point rule has put a spanner in the works with no Zach.
-
Just looking at options, Nothing official on the Stevie Front and Anders, with a young team maybe a more wise head would help in the pits, following Danny's comments on Friday about Anders Temper in the bits at times during the season. Also Danny's comments about 'being let down' by 2 riders Rowe and Starke who didn't show on Friday, which I'm sure won't help the situation.
-
With Danny talking about a big hole to fill on Friday, I presume he means Zach. Which with the new 1 over 8 rule this will leave Poole short on the 2/3 heat leader position as riders like Howarth and Kemp will be in high demand. 1. Lawson 9.59 2. Bailey 4.00 3. Stevie Worrall 6.80 4. Kerr 6.77 5. Morris 6.86 6. Cairns 3.81 7. Copper 2.00

Listening to Danny on Friday it sounds like the club would benefit from a commercial manager who would work to bring in fresh sponsors and money.
-
Danny said on Friday that he was very happy and excited about the 2026 team and 6 out of 7 riders in place but one massive hole to fill for the 7th rider.
-
I wouldn’t worry about that situation
-
He won’t be ruled out!
-
Bowes would be a surprise if he turned up at Poole, I don't think his off track antics at the end of the season would have helped. A rider that would increase his average in a weaker league certainly.
-
That is correct.
-
Unless he has a British Passport - he will be a 4.00
-
I wonder if there is any newcomers who would be available on a 7.50 average new to the league

What average would they both arrive on in the Prem and Champ? -
Yep all good, when you win the league and KO cup but lose the BSN by 2 points on aggregate let me know what a 5 minutes that was 😎

Pleased for Redcar as they have worked so hard over the past few years to get where they are now, In contention to win trophy’s and they did that on all 3 fronts. With Riss and Jody in the KO and league things could have been different. Personally happy to lose a trophy to Redcar, but it’s only borrowed 😜they deserve this one. Man it hurts to lose but 5 out of 6 trophy’s isn’t bad in 2 years! A lot of clubs would take that in a heartbeat.

Glasgow Tigers 2026
Pirates Of Poole replied to SilentLurker's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
When did he say this? -
12th November 1 Day conference, will be held at Rugby.
-
Too high at 9.09. Don't see how the 1 8 point rider per team needs to happen as Glasgow and Poole will be need to release a couple of the riders (Zach already one)
-
Apart from Nicholls there is no one that makes you think, they would be good. Kerr would be a bad decision, Worrall etc all past it now.

That team is a concern on the fact we are expecting the new comers to hit the ground running. With Zach not back, Lawson leading the team we will be very short in the other 2 HL roles, with the one over 8 being introduced that does not leave many at all left of any quality! Scotty would have been an option on a 7.88 but now he’s at Plymouth. Anders is a concern, with that in mind will we see the team made up of old school riders probably past their prime? Massive concern the other 2 HL roles. Not many riders in the averages below 8 you would think, yeah he would do a job at Poole.
