So Matt confirmed on Solent tonight that if the 8 point rule was not bought in he had a new top rider ready to come who has never ridden in Britain before.

They have and it has already been mentioned on here by someone else who the 7 point rider is.

I think that's the major concern. They have blocked more than 1 8 pointer but all that has created is a demand for the 6-7 point riders. Clubs with those assets won't release them until they are sorted and you get left with the unwanted rider!

I am led to believe this rule covers riders who rode in zero meetings during 2017 and in GP.

I would say unlikely as Somerset have signed a rider who sits around the mid 7's already meaning unlikely all would fit.

Joke and this was around when Matt started and the Frost etc only in speedway you can invest so much money but can't have a say for 3 years!! They did alter this rule in 1999 but It went to a vote, it was passed but takes 100 years to take effect 😁 This is due to the importance of trying to make common sense and good decisions difficult.

Poole will go with Brady, it's hot air in the echo today throwing big names around that's all.
