Pirates Of Poole replied to Pirates Of Poole's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
The site can only be used for sporting events ONLY. As said before it was given to the council under these strict guidelines by lord and lady Wimborne many years ago. The stadium could well be re-developed but a stadium must still remain on the site. -

I now wonder if Gino is an option, he has confirmed he has a visa and can come over this season now - would arrive on a 4.00 -

They have certainly gone from the website. If they no longer sponsor that is another great company who have pulled support from the club. -
So what average does that put Adam on?
-
Would also depend on his average and reduction given.

Kvech will be very very unlikely and not interested in British Speedway. -

Also be nice with the 2 Aussies to actually have some assets in the club and looking to the future, all these loan fees we are paying out -

Personally I can only see 1 and talks have taken place but maybe 1 for the future could be an option. -

What's Adam Roynon plans? I thought he was looking for a return in 2020. On a 5.12 he could be an option and would be eligible for a reduction after his nasty crash in 2018 and not riding at all during 2019. Always a rider I thought had a great style and if he stayed injury free could have gone to the top of the sport but sadly the crashes have finished any chances of that. -

Talking to one of the Aussies in the championship, I would say that is definitely what the club I waiting for. Who performs the best out the 'group' will get a contract. -

I think the bottom line is with 'season tickets' it isn't a one. A season ticket covers the whole season, this does not if we go further in the KO or reach the play off finals. I will be getting one as it works out cheaper but I do wish it was for every match. I hope the club get a good uptake, I think that will give them an idea of support for the championship compared to last years sale. -

He would still be available on a 4.00 at present unless he has any British relations. -

I think that number 4 slot is proving a slight issue. Unless anything major happens over the next couple of days don’t expect any team news until January. -

I would say if Bjerre did want to come he would be a steal on that average, but like you say rumours suggest he does not want to do UK in 2020. The issue is if we go with a 5.00 it leaves us with 3.97 for the final rider, short of the 4.00 we need to attract another Aussie over. So for me I would go with a 5.50-6.00 point rider and fill the final place with a young English rider coming up through. What's JPB doing now? -

We have a very good team so far, the final 2 pieces of the jigsaw will be massive and show our intent. I know people keep saying our 3 heat leaders will be good for 30-35 points a match but we cant always rely on that. Poor form and mechanical issues and we will need the back up riders to step up. I'm hoping for a couple of new comers to the UK. The reason for this is the whole team so far aren't our assets (I know we have plenty out on loan) but it will be nice to use the opportunity while in the championship to bring in some new comers and bring them on when we step back up to the Premiership. Personally I'm hoping we don't go with Todd Kurtz or Grondel both riders have in my opinion peaked over the past 5 years and sit around the 5 point average each year, hence my reason to bring someone in who could put a point or two on their starting average. The latter I know had a bad injury but his form this year was poor and his Aussie meetings have not been any better. -

No sadly not, I have spoken to him as was keen to sponsor the rider if he came to Poole. Maybe another Dane is a better option -

I’m not so sure on that with what I have heard this morning! -

So with Ellis 7.80 and likely another 4.00 point Aussie, that leaves 4.96 for the final rider. -
that's possible 'homes' not houses so they will be a large complex of flats with say 10 houses could be a possibility.

From the Swindon Advertiser regarding Adam Ellis. ‘He will also ride in the Championship – Britain’s second tier - where Poole Pirates are understandably keen to attract Ellis to Wimborne Road’ -

No, if it all comes together he will be a great addition to the team. Couple of bits to sort but it will be down to the club to announce him once everything is in place.
