BSN kept saying the track staff hadn’t watered the track heavily or at all due to the rain forecast and rain due? Seemed we all knew what was coming apart from the Glasgow promotion! Should have just got on with it! Poole will be extremely fired up for Wednesday now. Can’t change the result now but even I said at 6pm why are they not at the tapes ready to go.

British speedway is a joke.
Pirates Of Poole replied to chrismorton's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
I’m not so sure, after last time in the top flight. There is concern over Peterborough and the top flight next year. So who does that leave to step up? -

Think the main thing for the BSPA to sort is next year's rules and who is actually running! stop worrying about a second GP, we need to get our domestic situation sorted. The premiership is very clearly going to need more clubs to step up next year to make it viable, as at present its not with only 6 teams, I'm sure Discovery want more. Why not sort the rules by end of August? enabling overseas riders the choice over Sweden or UK next year? as their rules are all done and dusted for 2023. Seems we say the same things year and year with no changes. -
Swindon Robins 2020
Pirates Of Poole replied to Crazy robin's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
So the question is, if Gaming International don't run dogs anymore across the speedway venues why not give up the lease at Swindon & Poole + Readings derelict site? Sad news if true, but I won't be surprised. -
Swindon Robins 2020

Where has this been confirmed about Greyhounds ending in January at Swindon, thought it was their main site? I feel for Swindon fans, I worry we will soon also be in a very similar situation with GI behind it all. The councillors really need to wake up to what’s happening. -
BERWICK v POOLE July 9th 7.30pm

I noticed that too, good at talking off the track but seems his actions on the track don’t match! -

Think we require a couple of new faces if we want to be in with a chance of a PO place. This team isn’t good enough as a unit to challenge Leicester, Glasgow or Plymouth over 2 legs. -
Edinburgh vs Poole 8/7/22
Pirates Of Poole replied to LisaColette's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
We threw that away tonight, should have got a point. Too many inconsistencies in the team meeting after meeting, if it’s not one riders it’s another. -
Talk last year of a young Aussie rider Tate Zischke coming over in 2022/23 with Poole his likely destination. Progression has been very good with scores in Denmark this season. Wonder if we will see him in any open meetings before the year is out ready for 2023?

Any idea on last 2/3 riders will be for BV?
-
Final team rider will be announced tomorrow.
-
Would say it’s pretty likely.
-
Exactly simply ignore or mute them!!! Next signing to be announced next week, it will be a matter of which one now.
-
Was that in the local press?
-
Danny and Steve now confirmed.
-
Any update up in Glasgow reference and loan fee or full transfer for Basso?
-
Fingers crossed you are right!

Looking at the final figures now uploaded onto the BSPA website yesterday, Glasgow by my calculation are over the 42 point limit. These figures include the 2.5% reduction 1. Cook 8.80 (9.02) 2. Brennan 5.88 (6.03) 3. Nicol 5.45 4. Basso 5.00 5. Ostergaard 7.82 6. Hume 4.89 (5.01) 7. Bailey 4.28 42.12

I thought the lease must include a minimum of 2 sporting events?

Now is the time for Poole fans to email Drew Mellor head of BCP council and show your support for the club in the town.

Stadia UK have an agreement with the council that is due to last another 17 years, based on them running 2 sports out the stadium which they no longer do. The are pushing for a very large increase in rent with no extra service supply. Bottom line, the council own the stadium and it is sub contracted to stadia UK, if they are being un-reasonable the club are well in their right to take this up with the land owner and get their support!

Matt isn't asking the council for financial help!
