  1. Leicester should be apologising to the fans of both Poole and Leicester for this absolute **** show. If the track was graded off early last week after the initial call off the meeting would have gone ahead! Taking it down to the base taking off all the slop, leave it to breath, if it rained again it would have simply run off (as long as their drains are decent to take the water away) the rain wouldn’t of remained in the track as no material for it to stick too. A day before the meeting start laying the new surface, let’s face it buster has done it in 2 hours before so proves can be done with good planning and correct machinery - again no one else’s fault but Leicester for not organising this sooner. They will be hit on the gate now as less will travel with no coach on offer. I would imagine now the BSPA will be monitoring track works but they should have been doing this a week ago.
  2. Weather isn’t the fault of the authorities. Planning is though! And all clubs must share the responsibility of what is now happening, delay meetings due to riders being unfit etc hasn’t helped. Lesson’s must be learnt but like year on year they never are and I’m sure in 2023 this will happen again.
  3. Motorway blade now coming in and track to be re-laid. Why wasn’t this done 8 days ago after initial rain off? funny how I suggested this late last week and certain fans in the midlands shot me down for even suggesting it!
  4. Club have just called - it’s off. No re-staging date and no coach planned for re-run! Clearly some discussions going on behind closed doors currently.
  5. So why oh why don’t they just do that after 3 call offs? I do hope Poole are asking these questions.
  6. Absolute joke. I guess this is due to the rain that could be coming this afternoon?
  7. Like I have said before. This isn’t a hard fix! Scape off the wet surface and put down fresh dry material. This should have been planned at the weekend knowing what was coming up this weekend and Monday at Leicester. Clearly the material they are using at the moment is too heavy and can’t take a decent amount of rain like other tracks can.
  8. Clearly the material is so thick it isn’t drying, unless this is scrapped of completely and fresh put down I doubt that we will be seeing a meeting on Saturday again. I guess they probably don’t want to scrape the surface off as then all home track advantage is lost.
  9. I would imagine Lawson is already signed up for 2023 - 7.97 average is a bargain for him.
  10. He has an official average with Plymouth of 3.08 in October - 2.5% British reduction.
  11. Looking at the averages Lee Complin on a 3.00 looks an absolute steal! Entertaining and I think he would put 2 points on his average no problem in 2023. Also, if he commits to the championship for a full season Adam Ellis on a 7.13 would be a bargain too, if we have to lose 1 of our top 3, he would be a shoe in for the third HL berth.
  12. I personally think and speaking to sponsors, one I do a lot of work for is certainly backing the club well, compared when we stepped down I feel the commercial support we have, who returned or new to the club has put us in a better place. Obviously I don’t know the ins and outs of the accounts but I would surprised if compared to 2019 the club isn’t on a level playing field.
  13. I would prefer top flight, if as rumoured the points limit in the champ is being reduced to 38! Why keep watering the product down year on year. Step back up get Holder boys back, Brady and Nic, got the making of a great team!
  14. Yes sounds like that is now gone, now makes you wonder after 2 years to review for Poole. If they will now look to step back up to.
  15. Guess the Jubilee meeting isn’t happening this year then! Glasgow seem to be doing end of season presentations.
  16. With the weather now pretty unstable going into Autumn, surely it would make sense to attempt to run one competition next week at home.
  17. If we get to tapes say 7.45, delay and waste time, probably around 10 minute delay between heats until it starts to rain should get 5 heats in most probably. It’s only Met office saying rain, there is a chance it could just miss the stadium area.
  18. Such sad news to lose Swindon, great local Derby’s in the past and always made the trip up. Massive loss to the sport! With my Poole hat on - Gaming International playing games again, will this be Poole in 12 months time? Hope Swindon find a new home and fast.
  19. The rain completely cleared by 8pm! Why didn’t the Glasgow promotion wait? They prepped the track for rain to come in! Poor decision and am I right in thinking a similar incident happened with Leicester 2 years ago? So what happens in the re-staging when rain is coming down but Glasgow want to continue and Poole don’t? The weather does not look good for area over next 10 days. Sorting a new date is going to be an issue.
