  1. Vetlanda and Västervik both DID have nicknames for their teams in the past. They used to be known as the Njudungarna and the Skepparna. Not sure why they drooppped these names. And Rospiggarna has absolutely nothing to do with a pig. I seem to remember that it has to do with people of local history there. Perhaps someone of our Swedish experts on the BSF knows better than me and can explain it?
  2. Wittstock's 9 to 15 line-up 9 Matic Ivacic 10 Sandro Wassermann 11 Max Dilger 12 Marcin Jędrzejewski 13 Fraser Bowes 14 Erik Bachhuber 15 Lukas Baumann
  3. Foreign clubs can not join the Ekstraliga. A British Club may apply to join the Polish League, but has to start in Division Two, like a couple of German clubs did. But this level of competition is worse than what You already have in the SGB Premiership in Britain, perhaps not even as good as SGB Championship. No option for a club like Belle Vue.
  4. But it is not just between Torun and Grudziadz. Zielona Gora only has six match points so far and are not safe yet.
  5. Unfortunately this was not worth watching. Worst meeting I've seen all year. The Wittstock team is useless !
  6. This will be the very fist All-German match in the Polish Speedway League. Our Devils will give the Prussian Wolfpack a good beating today
  7. OneSport Events so often suffer from badly prepared tracks. They have a talent to mess up even the best race tracks. How poor !
  8. Great result for the two Norwegian youngsters Pollestad and Sola, who qualify for the Euro final.
  9. Zagar makes all the difference for ZG tonight. By far his best performance of the season so far. This will be very tense in the last couple of heats. The result of this match is crucial in the battle to avoid relegation.
  10. But this young Argentinean rider Amugnani did not come to the UK. He came to Germany (European Union), not Britain. That's the difference.
  11. Absolutely. He is terrible, sounds so monotonous, no emotions. This is a small local tv station here in Lower Bavaria (Niederbayern) and it is a low budget production. The sponsor of the Landshut Devils, the "TransMF" company has arranged it and pays for the meetings to be shown live on this station. It is something new for them. They are doing o.k. I'd say. It is a free to view channel, so we shold better not complain too much and rather enjoy it.
  12. Thanks @racers and royals the Young Latvians again very impressive in this meeting (on their home track nevertheless) they got three out of three through to the finals.
  13. and another run-off between two Latvian riders on eleven points for third and four place
  14. There is a run-off with four riders for positions six to nine at Daugavpils now
  15. How many riders qualify from each of the two semis? Is it the top eigth or are there wild cards reserved for the finals?
  16. We don't get it here in Germany, too. Some time ago the OneSport Speedway Events (SEC and the OneSport Best Pairs) were shown on Eurosport 1 TV in Germany for about a year or two, but then it was shifted to the EUROSPORT Player, and this is were speedway remains. They will rather show some Snooker (even usually always with no German involvement) or replays of Tennis or Cycling, rather than live Speedway. That's nothing new to us. Eurosport (Germany) has not helped Speedway much in recent years. The sport is only ever available to watch at extra cost on the EUROSPORT Player. You will soon realize how good you had it in the past with regular Speedway on Sky and BT Sports.
  17. Yes, indeed, and this might also happen with the SGP and British league speedway on EUROSPORT
