  1. Absolutely gutted tonight that we've missed out on the Grand Final, big respect to both teams who gave it absolutely everything. Congratulations to Wolves & good luck in the Final. Hope Lindgren & Thorssell make speedy recoveries. In the heat of disappointment, perspective needed. From almost having no club at the start of the year, 2017's been some ride as an Aces/Colts fan, loved it - & it ain't over yet!
  2. BT not showing this - proper error on their part,a real shame for all speedway fans too. Whoever progresses to the final, this match has had absolutely everything! Brilliant racing, drama, controversy - & still 3 races to go!
  3. Would expect team news to be released (for both Belle Vue sides) within the next hour or so.
  4. And presumably no Shuttleworth & Payne either. Wish Jason Edwards all the best as he gets set to establish himself in the NL. Watched him in the British Youth Championships at BV over last couple of years, looks to have plenty of ability.
  5. What a result, didn't see that coming - congratulations Smederna! Enjoy the moment GW!
  6. It sure was, pretty naughty I thought. Smederna giving a good account of themselves so far, decent match.
  7. Absolutely respect your opinion Lisa, & I congratulate Swindon too. Wolves still have work to do, Aces could (& possibly should) have lost by more tonight. Tungate, Cook, Bjerre & Bewley will all score more on Weds - could be close. Hope Pirates stick with Shanes, real fighter. With Woryna, Hans & Brady Kurtz you got the makings of an exciting team in 2018.
  8. Only watching on TV, conditions just seemed too grippy for size/shape of track, especially early doors. Rain earlier today won't have helped. Other than Lindgren, the one world class rider on show, the rest found it tough to handle. Hope Thorssell is well soon, really heavy impact, looked a bad one.
  9. Must admit I had similar thought, just looked at Emil & Zengota against Wozniak & thought 'trouble', albeit Drabik had been terrific, despite being half fit. Huge pressure to heap on the kid, however good.
  10. Big congrats to Leszno, delivered when it really counted. Thought Zengota rode a smart race in 14, young Drabik seemed to get stuck in a place he didn't want to be in going into 3rd bend lap 1, & Zengota capitalised. Just wonder if Wroclaw will change the track surface in the winter. The wide outside blast looks mighty hard work!
  11. We've probably all seen better meetings for pure racing SS. But when you factor in the tension, drama, close scoreline & what it means to both clubs... Still can't call who'll take the title.
  12. Weather update. Still dry, quite pleasant - unlike yesterday, good job they had covers on with the amount of rain that fell! Though Wroclaw seems such a tough track to overtake on, let's hope tonight's match is a classic.
  13. Weather OK here in Wroclaw, been dry all day so far, hopefully it'll stay that way!
  14. Fair comment Orion, few expected Poole to win at Wolves earlier in the season but they did. Fully expect Robins to prevail, strange things can n do happen in playoffs though.
  15. Completely agree, not to mention Doyle will have his coronation as World Champ on his mind - and who can blame him!
  16. Decent shout. Was really impressed by Roynon in beating Bewley twice fair & square at NSS,before Dan returned the favour in heat 15. Plenty of lively candidates to win this, hope it's well supported as I like the set up at Beaumont Park & there's some terrific young racers on show.
  17. Thanks Jonny. Must be interesting times for your lad. Clearly a talent, Poole will be gutted they released him, Robins will be well happy after a dodgy start to the season So how best to develop him? Race somewhere tight like Monmore to hone his skills, or a slightly more Polish type track like BV? Adam looks like a different animal in 2017, hope he and Dan Bewley take that ability & energy into 2018,future looks so bright.
  18. Just arrived in Wroclaw for PL play off final, seen updates, nails getting bitten - c'mon you Aces!
  19. Hoping for good news that both Max & AJ are ok, sounds a dramatic crash.
  20. Completely agree. I'm sure the likes of Ghostwalker & DutchGrasstrack who post on here would agree too, be interesting to hear their thoughts. Seems crazy to me that there's a potentially quality speedway match next Weds night & barely 2000+ people will get to see it live!
  21. Agreed. Think BSPA have improved their act this season but plenty of progress still to be made. At the risk of upsetting Poole & Swindon fans, I'd argue that given dry weather the likelihood would be that the best racing at the four playoff semi final ties was likely to be at the evenly matched Aces/Wolves tie at the NSS. Will be amazed if BT don't show this in full on delayed coverage at some point. And if I was at BSPA, I'd be exploring every online platform available to screen this match. But will they...??
  22. I've heard the comments about him in the past from fans of his previous clubs. You're spot on though, he's been very consistent in 2017. Has been way better than I expected. We should be in for two brilliant matches, win or lose, can't wait. No excuses.
  23. Greaves seems to be in good form & confident at the minute, realistically I would have expected him to have the beating of Smith or Shuttleworth right now anyway. Happy to be proven wrong. Earlier in the season I'd have taken Smith to beat Greaves. Interested in the comments about "playoff Kenny." Completely accept he has gone missing on occasion in the past at this time of year, for whatever reason. However he has been brilliant for us this season, especially at the NSS, from the gate & from the back. I think we may see a different playoff K Bjerre this time round.
  24. Surely Kildemand will get replaced by Smektala next ride, offering little. Milik & Woffinden very impressive so far!
