  1. Haha, its funny Alan in that it seems to have rained pretty much everywhere else in the UK this weekend, yet largely dry. Hope I've not jinxed tomorrow night! Strange race that heat 6 before the crash, Kasprzak & Hlib seemed to be very busy getting in each others way!!
  2. Dry in Manchester today - hope it stays that way for the visit of the champions, Swindon Robins, tomorrow night. Iversen & Kasprzak poor first rides, expect much better from them as the match progresses.
  3. Should be great atmosphere at ZG for the local derby, Jonsson looking in better form recently, Pepe & Hampel going well too. ZG should have enough to beat Iversen & Kasprzak's Gorzow imo - prediction 51-39. Have been to Wroclaw twice & watched matches there online, never seemed a particularly great racetrack to me. Hopefully tomorrow will prove me wrong & there'll be some great racing. Though I think the Bulls have a solid looking 1-7, Tai has stated on Twitter this morning that he will race for Wroclaw - for me that'll give that'll give the home side a big boost - prediction home win 48-42.
  4. Haha great post - stinging pessimism with a strong dash of realism! Never realised being a Rockets fan was so similar to being an Aces fan in recent years. Hopefully young Garrity will be back for your mob soon.
  5. Thanks R&R. Kennett seems to have gone off the boil a bit in recent weeks, hopefully he does a decent job. If Torun had been at home I'm guessing they would have fielded both Pulczynski brothers as Emil is particularly good at home? Holder & Przedpelski are in great form right now, Gollob has to fire for Torun to get close to Rzeszow tomorrow I think. Looking forward to tomorrow's action from Poland - maybe racing as good as Czestochowa last week might be too much to ask for though!!
  6. If Ghostwalker's post on the Czech Rep/Poland thread is correct in that Adrian Miedzinski is to remain in hospital, is there any news on how Torun will cover for him & Ward at Rzeszow tomorrow afternoon?
  7. My Gorzow picks: Niels K Iversen 11 Matej Zagar 8 Krzysztof Kasprzak 8 Jarek Hampel 8 Thanks.
  8. Really enjoyed tonights match, plenty of great racing on an excellent track - well done Somerset & Edinburgh. Very impressed by young Max Fricke, some prospect he looks! Hope there'll be more PL action televised as the season goes on, should be some tasty fixtures in store as the PL table takes shape & the playoffs get closer.
  9. Great win for ZG, I think Emil's ears will be burning tonight after his bad day at the office! Really watchable match, top racing, roll on next week - GP & league racing to enjoy.
  10. Laguta racing so wide, credit to Jonsson always giving him racing room too. Szombierski & Hampel at it again in Heat 13 - just brilliant speedway again. My god what would Sky be like if they were commentating on this match lol! Czestochowa's one of the ExtraLiga tracks I haven't been to, definitely paying it a visit next time I'm in Southern Poland.
  11. Wow how good was that!! Szombierski, Hampel & Laguta amazing there in heat 10. Like this track, fast lines both on the inside & outside.
  12. Bjerre overtaking people, now Davidsson passing Sajfutdinov - some strange things happening on track today!!
  13. I was thinking that way myself! All four riders in a line going into the 3rd bend - looked like being a great race. Good close match, Jablonski & Hampel carrying the fight to the home team. Impressive travelling support too, ZG to Czestochowa quite a long distance I think.
  14. Adamczewski looks a lively reserve for ZG, looks like another close match in prospect. Looks a decent crowd too, how many does Czestochowa stadium hold?
  15. What a ride again in heat 14 from Przedpelski! He looks a real talent for sure.
  16. Another impressive day for Niels K Iversen today at Wroclaw - 5 wins out of 5 races so far. Looks like the home team are missing Tai badly though, just one point from Nicolai Klindt.
  17. Bjerre very impressive, hope he's not in that kind of form tomorrow night! Expected more from Torun's big 3, still time yet though.
  18. Not sure that attempt at team riding went entirely to plan!! Credit to Bjerre though.
  19. Good afternoon from a sunny Manchester. Looking forward to this first match, fancy a narrow Leszno win 47-43. Impressive start to the match by the Bulls, Holder & Gollob 5-1'd already! Am expecting a strong response from Torun...
  20. Haha I'd forgotten about that moment of speedway "tv gold" - it was pretty strange, I'm sure many female viewers were quite happy with Hans at the time! Tonight's meet/coverage it's fair to say wasn't classic - by the same token it wasn't terrible either. However the gate draw (semi & final) part of the coverage was a bit cringeworthy. Plenty of rough edges to be worked on for next year & onwards.....
  21. Large fines & a point penalty to both Leszno & Rzeszow according to Sportowe Fakty website. Has there been any official reaction from either club?
  22. Echo all sentiments on this thread tonight, excellent match, great racing throughout, roll on next week!
  23. Fantastic team riding to keep Holder out in Heat 10. First time I've seen this track, really enjoying this match, some great racing so far, with the best yet to come I suspect...
