  1. Cookie was quick in last 2 rides at Wolves after a ropey start, equally was devastating later on. He praised AJ for helping him with set up on Mon night against the Robins after struggling early. He's quoted as going to Bydgoszcz for engine tuning, hope they work when it matters. Sometimes think he tries to hard at times in the big meets & is over-hard on himself too.
  2. That was really special from Emil in heat 14 - what a race!
  3. What a heat 5 that was - til it ended in tears for Fast Freddie, great racing.
  4. The home fans will be tense, Torun have done a pretty good job keeping Leszno quiet so far.
  5. Would like Torun to get through to the final, have a funny feeling that heat 15 disaster from last week will come back to haunt them. Predictions for this one: Score 51-39 to Leszno & Pedersen to have a fall-out/disagreement with someone
  6. What's going on with the NSport+ guys & those elbow pads? Not a great look, hope Daria isn't wearing em too when we switch to Leszno. Little Leon made me laugh there, look forward to Tai's response!
  7. Cracking race heat 7, seemed like Vaculik lost concentration for a split second, credit Janowski for a great ride to split them. Looks a cert for Wroclaw to make the final now. Just seen this on Twitter following Bomber's crash earlier today. Chris Harris #37 ‏@BomberHarris37 2m2 minutes ago .Couldn't get my racing head on at all yesterday. Now feeling sore after crash in Poland & have a wrecked bike.Think I need a few days off
  8. Thought that start girl was gonna get run over - totally unaware - could be a Polski P45 for her!!
  9. Quality from Holta in the last couple of races, the old boy still got it.
  10. Bomber & Ulamek got a bit tangled up in heat 5, first bend incident. He won the re-run & seems to have been racing fine. You'd think Ostrow will have enough in these last 5 races with Holta & Nicholls in the side - though I wouldn't put my life savings on it! This is getting a bit twitchy for Ostrow now!!
  11. Geez that looked nasty, hopefully only a bang to the head for Bomber... Great ride from Bomber to win the re-run.
  12. Yes the bus ride was a bit different, as is Gollob junior's hair!
  13. Good afternoon gents, all set for Rybnik v Ostrow This stream working well too: http://www.tvp.pl/player/video?id=9991221 With Harris, Nicholls, Fricke & Batchelor all in action, fans of teams involved in the EL playoffs will be watching a bit more nervously than usual - I know I am!
  14. Interesting comment which many would agree with. The league table would rightly suggest Poole would be favourites over the Aces in a two legged tie, after all they finished 12 points ahead of us in the table. Head to head results between the Aces & the Pirates in 2015 would suggest it might be less clear cut: At Kirky Lane: Aces wins 49-44 & 53-39. At Wimborne Road: a 45-45 draw & a 53-40 Pirates win. Dakota North has been brilliant in his appearances at Belle Vue this season - & his form, good or bad, would be key in any clash between the two sides. However before any such clash, there's the tie between the Aces & Robins, two excellent sides. Before Darcy Ward's dreadful accident I'd have backed the Robins to progress, now I'm like everyone else finding it very difficult to call. Either way I'll be at Kirky Lane & Blunsdon for both legs - can't wait!
  15. I make you right theblueboy about the playoffs, two mouthwatering ties & you can make a decent case for each of the four teams winning the title. The Aces/Robins match is a really tough tie to call. Swindon have been a real handful at Kirky Lane this season in two dramatic matches - if they're anything to go off, the fans at Belle Vue & watching on Sky will be in for a treat. Need to eek out enough of a lead in Manchester in order to put pressure on the Robins in the early heats at Blunsdon - an 8+ point lead would be handy, anything less & I think Rosco & co will fancy their chances in the 2nd leg.
  16. Just got in, looks like I've missed a thriller, just in time for the grand finale! Fantastic ride from Lindback to seal it, despite Dudek's best efforts.
  17. Cracking meeting, that could've been a lot worse for Leszno today, looking forward to the return leg already.
  18. I agree Alan - about both the board girl & Torun's lead! This is starting to become a real problem for Leszno, Torun look in the mood to increase this lead further. The Bulls are leaving themselves a lot to do in the 2nd leg..
  19. Top ride from Laguta heat 10 no doubt about it, but Leszno pair will be kicking themselves though about that last bend.
  20. Brilliant win from Fajfer in the re-run of heat 6 - lovely reaction from Emil congratulating him too, classy.
  21. Well that was a bizarre & eventful heat 6 - did Maciej lose count of laps??
  22. Just seen Hans Andersen's exchange on Twitter, seems he's really ticking. Has this been bubbling for a while or he's just fed up after tonight's match?
  23. Surprised that some (not all) Bees fans were concerned at the choice of Max Fricke as a guest tonight. I'm pretty sure Cov used him last year as a guest more than once & he did well for them - someone will check the Updates site & prove me right/wrong. Weren't there rumours too in the winter that Bees were interested in signing him before he ended up in Manchester? Credit to all 14 riders for doing their best to put on a show tonight in real tricky conditions.
