  1. Hi all, I'm on the http://www.telewizjada.net/live.php?cid=38 link, working fine for me too. Weather set fair in Leszno, some quality racing ahead I'm sure.
  2. Cookie didn't start last season too great for the Aces either, got better as the season went on & was flying by the season's end. Expect similar this season as finds rhythm & confidence. Lack of meetings not helping him. Matej Zagar nowhere near his best at the moment, anyone who watches the Polish meetings will have seen that. Expect him to be much sharper once the GP Series gets going. No excuses, congrats to the Robins on deserved win. As for the Aces we'll be fine - having our track up & running would definitely help though.
  3. Conditions looking like they will be okay in Poznan, looking forward to this one. Especially interested to see how young Max goes for Rybnik, great experience for him against some quality riders this afternoon.
  4. Suspect you're right CR, if his efforts last night & against the Hammers are anything to go by. I accept Walasek is a bit enigmatic, inconsistent etc but I've watched him a fair few times, both good & bad, but that was unacceptable.
  5. Walasek was grim last night, must have been infuriating for the Lions fans watching that. Though not the heat leader they desperately need, an improvement nevertheless.
  6. Thanks very much R&R. Echo your sentiments about last night's match, very entertaining, heat 13 in particular was some race!
  7. Will be en route to Leicester so gonna miss this match, any idea what time the re-run of this will be on? Thanks in advance..
  8. Coming down to Leicester tomorrow, first time at Beaumont Park so really looking forward to it. After last week's pasting off the Hammers expecting a much stronger showing from the Lions, should be great night's racing. Bookies will have it a convincing away win no doubt, potential banana skin for Lemo's boys??
  9. Quite right BB, & heat 14 was excellent too. Now for the grand finale........
  10. Vintage KK! Where was that form last year?! Great to see imo, Bees fans will be delighted seeing that.
  11. Evening all. I should be at the opening (again) of my beloved Belle Vue's stadium tonight, but sadly not to be. So it's plan B - Leszno v Gorzow on a cracking stream, thanks guys, followed by a trip to the pub! Should be a great match tonight, me thinks a 46-44 win in favour of the away team Stal.
  12. Would love to see Martin Vaculik race regular in the UK one day, whether at my club, or elsewhere, A real exciting racer, have my doubts if it'll ever happen though. Impressed by young Drabik again, looks at home in what's a pretty strong field. Yet another Polish star in the making.
  13. That was a shocker, just relieved Dudek & Kildemand are up & walking back to the pits.
  14. Scott Nicholls' Rzeszow team are having a shocker at Gdansk, 34-8 down after 7 heats!
  15. Good afternoon all. Excellent stream R&R. Sad to see the Bydgoszcz stadium looking so empty! Anyways, hopefully some great racing in store & Bomber to seal a 46-44 win for Krakow.
  16. Totally agree Phil. Lifelong Aces fan, remember she wrote pieces for the BV programme while still very young. Thought she did an excellent job as centre green presenter at Kirky Lane, conducting decent rider interviews too. Think she'll do a great job - good luck Natalie.
  17. Cheers R&R. Admire the guy still racing & looking competitive too at that age. Excellent tussle in heat 8 with Jeleniewski just holding off Pedersen.
  18. Great ride from Trzensiok there to pass Czaja in heat 6. Piotr Swist rolling back the years in heat 7 - he must be pushing 50 years old now?? Still looking quick though.
  19. Will be interesting to hear DG's comments on the Breakfast Show on BBC Radio Manchester at 7.50am tomorrow..
  20. That's a good point Joe - the local schools, colleges & unemployed have to benefit from using the sports village for education & recreation as a condition of part of the funding for the BV Sports Village, as well as other sports being involved. Hopefully Coventry City Council will have a look at projects like ours & help the Bees secure their future.
  21. There is a Belle Vue train stop, but services are few & far between. If you get the train to Manchester Piccadilly, you can get a taxi to the stadium for 6 or 7 quid. Alternatively you could get the 201, 203 or 204 Stagecoach bus outside Manchester Piccadilly station on London Road & get off at Showcase Cinema on Hyde Road the stadium is at the back of the cinema. The buses are every 10 mins or so, the bus ride takes about 15 minutes.
  22. I was down at the stadium at Christmas & like some of the more pessimistic posters on here, I couldn't see any way that it would be ready for March 19. The wet winter we've had up here won't have helped either. However I'm happy to admit that I was wrong, huge credit to the promotion who've had plans in place for stuff most fans, including me, wouldn't have even thought of. Hopefully the test event today will be a success & then a week of dry Mancunian weather to get the track into pristine condition for the likes of Woffy, Nicki P, Cookie et al to blast around next Saturday night.
  23. It might not be on the scale of the Aces stadium, but the basic principles still apply. A track with good racing lines, combined with comfortable facilities you can invite friends/family/business to, has to be a winner. I've got friends coming to the new stadium this year who would never normally attend speedway. Two of them own local firms in north Manchester, & if they enjoy it they may well come back, & maybe bring their staff along too for a Xmas do or something like that. I'm sure other joe-normal Aces fans like me are doing the same, telling their mates. No reason why that formula can't work in Swindon, or Cov, or Essex etc.. Enjoy my trips to Swindon (especially last Sept ), hope the Robins are sorted soon.
