Poole Thread Blocked Due To Trolls
NickRushbrook replied to Steve Shovlar's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
This thread reminds me of a scene in the saloon of a wild west film where the two main characters start fighting and then the whole bar starts fighting with each other for no reason! -
Poole Thread Blocked Due To Trolls
NickRushbrook replied to Steve Shovlar's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Hmmm, the plot thickens...? -
It's attitude. He's obviously a very talented young rider which made it even more frustrating. Said it was the track which simply doesn't add up in hindsight. It seemed like he was trying to prove a point with his subsequent visits to the raceway. The time to prove a point would have been in the preceeding seasons! That said, he will have my full support should he sign.
-
If true, hopefully he puts in the same effort as he did when he was a visiting rider in 2016.
-
Could it work whereby teams are still made up of 4 (plus 1 reserve) but adhere to the pairs format, ie; two from the same nation in a race? Would that defeat the whole object?
-
Not happy with this at all. SWC is one of my favourite events of the year and had many a good day out at King's Lynn. The idea is to aspire to the standard of Poland (as difficult as that is) not simply dilute the event so someone else has a chance of winning. Next step will be to have the sgp with one rider from each country and call that the world cup as well!

Really happy with this! Simply brilliant top two. Hope we can back them up with a solid middle order.

Reassessed Averages
NickRushbrook replied to dontforgetthefueltapsbruv's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Another ludicrous ruling if true. Would be so bad if the top 8 were assessed at 9 and the bottom 7 assessed at 8. To say that Dudek and Pawlicki should (in theory) have the same cma is ridiculous. -
Just suppose that no Premier team signed Scott. Or if he got injured during the season and was replaced by his PL team? He'd be out of work in the UK. That's the reality. Rules are rules. Change them!

Polish Speedway 2018 Travel & Info Thread
NickRushbrook replied to NickRushbrook's topic in International World of Speedway
Thanks guys. Useful information! -
It wouldn't put most fans off attending the fixture itself imo. For me, speedway is the ultimate spectator sport. The methanol, the noise and the action. There really is no substitute if you can attend.
-
I would most definitely pay for live streaming. It's a great idea and would hopefully increase coverage.
-
Hey everyone. I'm looking at attending a couple (at least) of Polish fixtures next year and would be grateful for any information such as nearest airports, places to stay etc. Would like to sample the Falubaz atmosphere so can anybody tell me my best means of travel from London? Perhaps this thread could be pinned for anybody else with similar questions? Thanks in advance. Nick

Now my positive thoughts have taken a turn. I can understand the reason behind selling Adam as he wasn't happy here anyway but surely selling Zach is sending out the totally wrong message after a week of better news? My romantic thought was that we could build a team around Zach for the future. What a load of cack!
-
I'm thinking Lawson will be nailed on which is a good start. Zach and Ben at reserve pretty handy as well. I wonder who the rider Jon's referring to is? I think Nicholls did guest in the CL last season but was never technically part of any team so it could be him. Would be a strong top two if that were the case.

The following quote is why I have reason for optimism. Says Douglas: At long last we have certainty and with the new site owners already making contact with our representatives we look forward to working with them to provide the joys of Speedway for future generations in Thurrock and the wider Essex area". With respect to Jon Cook, I feel a little more assured that the news has come from Stuart.

Slowly but surely, things are turning round for us. Ultimately, I want to see us in the top league eventually but I think dropping out when we did might have been a blessing as it really had gone stale. I'm most pleased that I have a good reason to visit Peterborough again....excellent circuit. I look forward to watching the likes of Zach and hopefully Jason Edwards progress with us all the way back to the top.

Good news on the site by the sounds of it! http://www.lakesidehammers.co/raceway-sold-but-hammers-secure/

Lewis Kerr would be a very welcome addition to Championship life for the Hammers. Good attitude he has.

Ward is just trying to stay relevant. He gets worse and worse in his efforts. -

Can only echo what many others have said regarding Holders inclusion. Total disgrace of the highest order. I would be spitting feathers if I was either one of Milik or Lebedevs. -
It's incredible to think that Bridger and Woffinden were very equal when coming through the youth system. I actually thought Lewis had the edge back then. I like Lewis though and he's great to watch when on the gas. Just a shame that he couldn't fulfill his undoubted potential.

Without getting ahead of myself, would really look forward to the 4TT. Always liked that tournament.
