If you add Adam Ellis, that's a good young nucleus to the side for a change. So we're looking at: 1. 2. Lawson 3. Bridger 4. Bech 5. 6. Ellis 7. So far.... Who else?

Nothing against Chris Holder but it grates at me that riders openly come out at say that British speedway is bottom of the pile. Maybe riders perception of the EL is justified but id prefer if they didn't air that to the media. What is certain is that Britain is top of list when it comes to developing their skills in a league format. The poles don't want to know then do they? We are just seen as a 'feeder' league. We've helped develop overseas talent for years, possibly at the expense of our own so let this close season be a lesson. Let's not worry too much about Holder, Lindgren and whoever else isnt going to ride here and lets hope we can create our own stars and a better future.

Howarth and Lawson are just starting to come on so this is not the time to confine them to the PL. The ruling is done with good intentions but im not sure they have thought this through properly. Wouldn't be surprised if this is heavily revised.

Oh Steven, Steven. You're posts make you look deluded. I fully understand team bias but you take it to another level! 'The truth of the matter' you say? Poole are disliked pure out of jealously? You mentioned childish behaviour earlier with regard to another poster. That's ironic as the whole jealousy retort is the most juvenile yet! Deep down, I suspect it does bother Poole fans that they're so disliked. They'd rather that than be ignored though which is exactly how posts of your nature should be treated.

I find it a little cringey that so many Poole fans are celebrating this as much as they are. The whole 'against all odds' claims are embarrassing too. Poole are in the privileged position to remedy any problem when it arises and fair play for that. But for gods sake, stop with the bad luck myth. Poole are a successful club but I would not want to see my club ran the same way.

Watching Poole win the title will be like watching a child scream and scream and scream till FINALLY everyone gives in and gives it what it wants!

Usually, progress is fairly simple for aspiring young riders and they end up being heat leader standard by 25. Was thinking about Martin Smolinski's rise to heat leader when I decided to start this thread. Quite incredible when you consider how long he's been around. The only other one who come to mind is David Norris. He was always a good standard to be fair but one season he looked world class. Any others come to mind?

Kim Nilsson will have to hit the ground running after the patience he was shown last season. He has improvement in him for sure. The key for me though is Swiderski. I can see his average going either way and as the main middle order rider, will have great effect on the outcome of meetings.
