It's all very well having all these riders who will 'only ride for Poole' but eventually it will completely dilute the league to the point there is no opposition to you at all. Each to their own but personally, I wouldn't want that. No opposition equals no league, no speedway, and eventually no Poole either.
-
So Buzskowski starts as heatleader? If so, no problem....carry on! On the main topic, I feel bad for Leicester. It looks pretty grim but hopefully something can be pulled out of the bag. I hope other clubs in the league support them where possible as an uncompetitive Leicester side will kill off even more credibility of the elite league.

Rune Holta agreed to ride for lakeside at the tale end of 2008.
-
Martin Vaculik = Rune Holta mark 2 People will continue to talk and nothing will ever come of it.
-
On the contrary, I believe Woffinden is a Brit pretending to be an Aussie.

Well, like I said, arguments over this sort of thing are common place. The list was done very quickly so the grades I allocated weren't put together with too much thought. Just an example.
-
They should have done rider gradings for the whole top five. Grade 5 being the top riders and grade 1 being the lowest ranked. Points limit is 15 with the grades counting as points towards this limit. Couple of examples below: Holder - Grade 5 (5 points) Cook - Grade 4 (4 points) Milik - Grade 3 (3 points) Kennett - Grade 2 (2 points) Sedgemen - Grade 1 (1 point) Total 15 points. Obviously that is the most simple way of doing things but another example is as follows : Batchelor Grade 4 (4 points) Cook Grade 4 (4 points) Milik Grade 3 (3 points) Graczonek Grade 3 (3 points) Sedgemen Grade 1 (1 point) Of course there would be more arguments about who should be in what grade but then that's nothing new and would at least work for this season whilst false averages are worked out.

No one is saying anything about anyone, hence the speculation.

I think many of those options would be considered a big fat rabbit mate! I wouldn't consider Ljung and Smolinski heatleaders either. I like the optimism though and hope very much we can get a good signing.
-
Personally I would take a gamble on KK. Purely because of the lack of other options at the moment. Unless we pull a rabbit out of the hat with someone like Emil (which I'm certain we wont) I just cannot see how the second heat leader role will be filled. We may find it hard to even fill our points limit but I think a few teams may have the same issue.
-
The options at heat leader are very limited unfortunately. I have a lot of respect for Davey but I would rather we signed someone else. It's highly likely that Richard Lawson will be back so with about 7ish points to play with, who is a realistic target? I really have no idea....bit like to assume that Jon does!
-
Why not?
-
Our wooden spoon last season was purely down the reserve system. Our top 5 performed comparably with the the top 4 last season and will do so in 2016.
-
Home advantage you say? How many home matches did we lose last season again? Riders who bad mouth the track are just looking for an excuse for a bad performance. They should be more dimensional that simply letting the throttle go for four laps. The track provides some excellent racing imo.

Robert Mear is gating tart?? Post of the year!
-
That's a pity if true. Need more good young Brits as it us.
-
Wouldn't be against Ashley Birks returning. Just started to look good until his second injury of the season. Kasprzak is a good shout also.
-
I do think we need a fresher look next year. Respect to Watt and PK who have been good servants to the club but I'd rather some new blood. AJ is a good start. Add Richard Lawson and Kim Nilsson as second strings / 3rd heat leader and whatever the EDL throws up. As previously mentioned, would love to see Dakota North or Max Fricke in there too. I wouldn't be against Chris Harris completing the line up but I would have thought it unlikely.
-
North is an exciting rider who I'd love to see at Lakeside. I like Eddie but don't really feel he can improve too much. Richard Lawson on the other hand is still on the up so who like to retain him. I wouldn't expect too many of last season's team to be retained as Jon clearly wasn't happy with many performances from comments he made towards the end of the season. The draft will be key again unfortunately.

Tell you what 'King Bee' if you're so sure of that then why don't you put it on the Coventry 2016 thread? Better suited there than trying to kick my team while it's down. Bit of respect eh?

I train a stock car racer and I can confirm that, based on what he's told me, there is indeed a 3 year extension for stock car racing to continue. He also told me that the current landlords are considering introducing another regular 'drift' meeting on Friday nights which would obviously end Lakeside's use of the facility on that evening. Now, based on that, my speculation is as follows: Lakeside have been offered an alternative Race Night which if midweek would not be useful really as historically, crowds are way down on those evenings. A lot depends on planning permission for a new stadium. If granted, I can see the club eeking by on a midweek just to keep things ticking. If not, there would be little point running speedway for 3 years on a midweek race night with no reward (new stadium) at the end only to see the club fold anyway. A lot of ifs and buts. I believe that if we can secure Friday/Saturday night racing we shall come to the tapes in 2016. Here's hoping.
-
Skidder, might I suggest you refrain from the sarcastic comments at the moment. We're a little on edge over here right now for obvious reasons and surely can be afforded a little bit a right to vent without being challenged.
-
I will have to judge the match purely based on Lakeside's top 5 vs Poole's top 5. The reserves are so lop sided that I won't even count their points in my program. I have been very praising of the promotion over the years but I feel a little deceived over all this. There were TWO press releases earlier in the week hyping up the return of Kim, the warm weather and a 'fantastic' match for us to watch. What a load of old rubbish. They must have known that Mikkel and Adam would be unavailable so why not mention it then rather than pull the wool over out eyes?? For obvious sentimental reasons, I shall attend on Friday but normally you would have to ask the question: Why pay £18 to watch a guaranteed loss?
-
Is there any point to running this?? Message to Poole promotion: Please request, in the interests of speedway of course, this match be postponed as it will cheat the paying public out of a competitive meeting. I've effin had it.
