Merely as a matter of interest if Jay could fit back in average wise is it not the same scenario as Tim at Newport and would be allowed to ride? Jules -
Deadline For Nl Fixtures
jules m replied to Parsloes 1928 nearly's topic in National League Speedway
Shame you can't choose your fixtures at the start of the season, you could have all the 'softer' meetings early on in the season and leave the hard ones til the end just in case you don't have to run them. Jules -
Well its been a beautiful week this week in very sunny Weymouth lets hope it sees the Wildcats get their Trophy aspirations back on track. Any news on the line ups for this one? Will there be a replacement for Byron? Unfortunately I feel Buxton might just be a bit too strong for the Wildcats and Garrity seems to be in top form at the moment, I hope the Weymouth faithful get to see him as he is one of the most entertaining riders I have seen this year. Perhaps Mark could just scan his visa and post it on here so that the matter can put to rest one way or another. I still have my working holiday visa in my passport from when I went to Oz ten years ago unfortunately it only lasted a year otherwise I would still be there :-) Jules

A few of us hoping to come over to the meeting can someone tell me about more about the thing where you buy your ticket and ferry transport. Thanks in advance. Jules M

It depends where you stand I guess it can be deceiving depending on your view point Taken from the superb Weymouth Speedway website - "The last heat was somewhat controversial, Brown fell third turn first lap, the race continued with Kurtz in the lead, Cockle challenged Newman for second place cutting inside him entering the third turn second lap. Newman careered into the fence right in front of the Hornets supporters who made their voice heard when the meeting referee judged Newman to be the cause of the stoppage and disqualified him from the re-run which was won by Kurtz from Cockle putting the Hornets on top of the National League winning 39-52. After viewing video footage filmed by DL Sport Productions it clearly shows that Cockle had the racing line and Newman's foot caught Cockles dirt deflector throwing him off balance and into the kickboards while trying to re-pass the Wildcat."

Weather is delightful :-) And master Newman was responsible for my grey hairs too, wonder if we could claim compensation from him. Jules

Any news on the line ups on this one? Should be a good meeting tho weather been a bit rubbish down here in usually sunny Dorset:-/ Reckon the Wildcats could win this one. Jules

That clears that up then lol I did get told the other day that the reason why Weymouth couldn't sign the Aussie Tom Armstrong was because there are only allowed to be 12 Aussies in the NL anyone else heard of this

Fantasic to see former Wildcat JWW scoring so well after his nightmare against Buxton. Hope both the Newport riders OK after their crash. Jules M

Newport Hornets ~ V ~ Buxton Hitmen
jules m replied to newportspeedwayhh's topic in National League Speedway
Brilliant meeting especially from a neutral perspective. Track looked good and the racing was outstanding with every heat having you on the edge of your seat. Cook was awesome and deserved his new track record hopefully they wont do so well next Friday tho definately the team to beat this season and I hope they go on to become league champions. What a shame there weren't more people there, they don't what they are missing. jules -

I am very much looking forward to this meeting, haven't been to Newport for ages. If Garrity is half as entertaining as the last time I saw him it will be a very interesting meeting. I think it will be a home win but only just, and being a neutral I hope theres some good close racing and no injuries with the best team winning on the night. Jules -

Your right there, the bikes are a very impressive sight and the chaps also have a collection of race jackets and usually have a DVD or two showing. Well worth a look. Jules -
Doubt you will have to wait too long for that

All clouds have silver linings, Starke will be a great asset wherever he goes would imagine he would be great at Weymouth
