  1. What do you mean whats on my mind??? Nigella's curves I suppose.

  2. Can you swop my captain from Crump to Nicki Pedersen please. Thank you
  3. It would have a better future if fans admission and basic speedway machinery and equipment costs were lowered....
  4. Well the moderators must have been around on this thread because they deleted my post..... The point really Ban....whats his name is that ballinger has gone out his way to do this competition and ran it exactly the same last year with no deletes from the mods. At least an explanation is worthy of his time and if it is that is a waste of bandwith etc then they can scrap the 09 Competition sticky etc. If your going to be a moderator to a site, I think an explanation is neccessary otherwise why run a forum if your not going to let anyone have any enjoyment. Just reopen the site and run it like last year. Please. P.S Mod who deleted my previous post. (My post was more in jest basically to get attention to the thread and no hijack was ever going to happen.
  5. Apologies if this is in the wrong thread but I don't really know whats going on but please keep Jason Crump as my Capn for Round 3 please.
  6. Tempted to go for AJ but I will stick with Master Crump please.
  7. 1. Jason CRUMP £50,000 (captain) 6. Nicki Pedersen £45,000 5. Andreas JONSSON £45,000 11. Magnus ZETTERSTROM £25,000 13. Jaroslaw Hampel £25,000
  8. I think Hancock and Holder will probably be at decent odds to win a GP this season. Even Zorro each way wouldn't be a waste because he is a super gater and can beat any one on his day on the right track.
  9. Easy Answer - Chris Harris and here is why. Firstly he is the British Champion and is the best averaged rider in the country. Secondly he is at the prime age to be competing unlike Nicholls who is on the slope down and Woffinden and EK are too inexperienced. Thirdly he is a very dedicated rider unlike Richardson. And finally he got higher up than an other Brit in the GP Challenge and only just missed out plus he is finishing well in the GP's. IMO it should be top 10 plus the 3 from the GPC plus Harris due to GB and maybe another competitive rider from an unsupported GP nation ie Zagar with common sense of form and age or the 11th place finisher getting the vote.
  10. And you once told me to grow up........pot, kettle and black spring to mind. Very unlucky for Tai as I really feel the sport in this country would have had a slight upturn had a Brit won a WU21 title. Any publicity is good publicity but papers won't print it because he failed to win. Very surprised Ward won but I have seen him beat Schlein and Batchelor so I knew he could do it if he was on the ball so wd to him.
  11. Wash your mouth out with soap and water.... Do the names Rickardsson, Nielsen and Nilsen ring a bell. Even Sam Ermolenko on half decent machinery would still be easily good enough for the series. Zorro has got better whilst the standard around him has dropped. He deserves his place.
  12. QUOTE (bazaar3 @ Sep 19 2009, 02:26 PM) Got to be joking steve. Tai should be nurtured and given time. He is nowhere near this level yet. Plenty of riders who are above him and in better form like Zagar, JD, Richardson, PK, Protasiewicz, Watty and even Adam Shields. Plenty of time for Tai yet. Richardson not a Brit then steve.... Harris is obviously No 1 but tbh I wouldn't put no other Brit rider in the GP

  14. ZORRO YOU LIL BEAUTY.......I had a small feeling you could upset the applecart. On his day I have seen him beat just about anyone in the world and the guy fully deserves because since he went through a rough patch and dropped to PL, he turned his confidence totally around and tbh is in the best form of his life after winning the Swedish Championship last season and now this. And a huge well done to Chris Holder making it a Poole based 1-2 who also on current form deserved to sail through and will liven up the GP's for sure along hopefully with Zorro's Staying Alive dancing. Those 2 together could probably double the GP ratings....
  15. Wouldn't it be fantastic if Zorro got into the GP at his ripe old age. The guy has been around for so long and I think he deserves his year for being an excellent and fantastic ambassador to the sport. He gets better with age, although I don't ever remember Cov being one of his favourite tracks. My money is Lindgren, Harris, Bjerre and Holder battling it out for the top 3 with Watty and JD as spoilers.
  16. What is Bitchin....? Somewhere in Yorkshire?
  17. LOL.....who started this thread for a laugh. It's exactly like saying it's time to take the computers out of the internet cafe's.
  18. Looks as tough as the first semi. Final will be real tough to call. I think the riders who will get through are in no particular order: Gustafsson Jonasson Klindt Wolbert and 4 out of the 5 Poles in the meeting
  19. No changes for me either.....Nicki must come good soon.
  20. NEW ENTRANT Omg, I never knew this existed. Gutted. I guess I can still join having read through the thread. Ok my side is: Emil Safutdinov 25,000 Freddie Lindgren 30,000 Nicki Pedersen 60,000 will be my El Capitan. Leigh Adams 45,000 Kenneth Bjerre 30,000 Should be 190,000. Paddy the Rebel, you should have told me about this, but I guess you didnt want me to beat you like I do on the other competions.
  21. Over the years there have been some great test matches having featured the major nations but which ones have really stood out in the memory for you. For me it was: On the box/video: England vs Denmark 1986/87? It was at Cradley Heath and the Danes stormed into an early lead into the meeting led by Gundersen, Nielsen and Jan O whilst England scrapped for every point and Captain Wigg even lending his green machine to Jem Doncaster but led by the starting marshall who didn't like Nielsen's antics on the inside gate and the teams tenacity, they fought back from 10 points down to get back to 2 towards the final heat. After a fantastic ride from Morton to pass Preben Eriksson and then both of them to cross the line nearly together and then end up collecting each other and crash into the first bend after the race, Wiggy and Collins just had to beat Hans from his favourite inside gate but he shot from the start and hung on for a 2 point vic to the Danes. Live: England vs Sweden vs Australia at Poole in 1991/92? The Swedes were a dominant force back then with Jonsson, Olsson, Nilsen and a young Rickardsson etc but a young England went tooth and nail until the final heat where Doncaster and Cox had to earn a 5-1 against Adams and I think home track rider Mick Poole. Donkey made the start along with Adams who drifted wide and Cocker shot between Poole and Adams for a famous victory and made the crowd go wild. Opinions...
  22. Oh and I suppose Ulamek and Walasek are... Yes that is a very intelligent post.....not....but you haven't said who would be worthy of replacing him??
  23. Do you follow you speedway....? Holder has stated plenty of times he doesn't want to ride GP's yet.
  24. Who else is there.....? Rather see Harris get the spot than Zagar or Kasprzak. He is Britsh and he has won a GP.
