  1. I’d hazard a guess that we don’t see a new track in 2024.
  2. I really hope this isn't Dudley Wood repeating itself all over again. At some point in their lives I hope these developers realise their money won't stop them from avoiding disease and they certainly cant take their money with them after recking so many communities.
  3. Exactly. Every club running would have a massive following from all the closures over the years. Very short term logic to think fans will travel to a neutral venue.
  4. idiots will speed whatever the speed limit, fitting false plates or even removing them altogether. All this penalises is the law abiding drivers.
  5. Maybe, but Coventry Stadium doesn’t have permission and look at that place. There are many more examples.
  6. Exactly, everyone shouldn't be surprised when this happens. It happens to a lot where a "forced" change of use is being investigated by the owners. Fans need to use the Crooked House as an example, to stop it.
  7. I’ve shared the links on a couple of Facebook groups. Let’s get this noticed.
  8. It’s quicker just to click these links. share and share again! https://planpa.peterborough.gov.uk/online-applications/applicationDetails.do?activeTab=makeComment&keyVal=RSOMJ0MLIWV00 https://planpa.peterborough.gov.uk/online-applications/applicationDetails.do?activeTab=makeComment&keyVal=RSXWVDML04U00
  9. Pearson had speed last night, something he has always lacked when riding for Birmingham.
  10. Not according to BCC taken from the article: As for the council's stance regarding the future of Perry Barr Stadium, a spokesman said: "The city council owns the freehold of the Perry Barr Greyhound Stadium, while the Corbally Group are the long-term leaseholders – so any redevelopment on the site must be agreed with the council as the landowner and through its planning process, in line with local and national policy.
  11. Nice one! It really needs to be taken seriously. We know through historical references how these companies get what they want eventually.
  12. I’d like to know where tyretrax gets this info from. A BCC spokesman said the developer owns PB.
  13. Is there anyway the speedway facility could be protected by fans on a voluntary basis? While awaiting planning of the EOS, and while lying dormant. It’s always speedway fans that suffer in these instances. Somehow (even when they are legally obliged to), we can’t expect the developers to protect it. Tell the developers fans can wait the long game too if needed.
  14. You are going through exactly what I went through. I came back last season after about six years out. I couldn't believe the difference and what people now put up with. I've resided myself to just enjoying the racing and my team rather than try and get my head into it. Teams have just vanished! With absolutely no rumbles of life to get them going again.. it's tragic.
  15. I drive in early Saturday and then drive out Saturday evening. Took the lad and his school mate, we had packed lunches. No need to buy food, parked the car all day for £14, drank free monster in the fanzone ( not the best drink I have to say). So it can be done on a budget.
  16. If the dogs at PB go, then something needs to be done to make the stadium pay. Could a stadium last, entertaining one speedway meeting per week, six or seven months of the year. If the council support keeping the stadium for speedway, surely some of the restrictions need lifting.
  17. Grubbiest and most boring? I actually thought it would be nice for a weekend away at some point. Lots of bars, eatery’s it had a happy vibe about it.
  18. I was there but awful at those type of estimates. 25% full perhaps? Will anyone advance on that ?
  19. He has a lot of ideas some of which include staying where we are. You might be best grabbing him and having a chat he is open about them. I wouldn’t want to put them on here though. I have confidence he is the best person. I didn’t realise looking at my bank statement he sells the GP programmes. So his involvement goes far beyond badges.
  20. I suppose Cardiff gives you the glam full on vibe in a city centre environment. Walking around the city you know there’s a speedway meeting on. Could Belle Vue offer the same. The racing is just part of the experience, many BSPL promotions should learn from it.
