  1. But, to the layman on off fan, who doesn't give a jot about politics, contracts within the sport, the BSPA, just attends to see the Bees stuff who ever they are against (this could be 50% of speedway fans by the way). Coventry Speedway appear to be the problem. we know they aren't the root cause, but it is Horton's problem.
  2. How long can Coventry speedway play that card though? Administration... closure... court case... in that order means no speedway. Something isn't sitting right somewhere, imo.
  3. I agree. If I was gambling on several hundred thousand pounds worth of my cash promoting speedway. I'd be there for the track prep if there is a problem. He's had to outlay cash for two meetings now that sadly he has no return on. You'd think he'd have the men in black Mercedes and shades around to make sure everything goes to plan. Or as Shovlar says, send trackman to the bar for the afternoon buy him drinks and supply a taxi home then get a decent guy in to prep track.
  4. So let's say, a fictional company contracted by Sky to set the filming equipment up, have let loose a new guy, who is obviously making a hash of it and in response to offer help he tells the sky guys to "go away". I guess Sky will just roll over and let him carry on, knowing nothing will work.
  5. Sounds like it, but, a credible track man at that. I'll hazard a guess the promoter was there watching too, crossing T's and dotting i's etc.
  6. I agree, it appears to be Horton's cock up in the first instance. But if the BSPA are promoting the event, imo and purely my opinion as I handed my money over to the BSPA, they are responsible for what happened or what didn't happen today.
  7. Who would leave the track prep to a company that wants you out FFS...
  8. And Horton is a member of what may I ask? The BSPA perhaps....
  9. Because the BSPA were in charge of the event, that's why. It appears they've given Sandhu a free reign to screw up their business plan for this year.
  10. Most have been answered. Keep up, In short. So, lets start with Ronnie Russell and his team who usually prepare the track, where are they, why didn't they prepare it? Sandu as the stadium owner was given the rights and only rights to prepare the track. Did it pee down with rain? Not that I am are aware of, but I don't live in the area. Why was the track a shambles and un-racable? and who was preparing it? It was boggy and wet and a Pole with just one days practice was given the job to prepare it.
  11. Because you'd be there for the track prep and make sure it was done right.
  12. Mr Blobby, no offence, but if you were the BSPA and you were putting on a meeting and had spent cash in order to do so. Would you leave so many unknowns for it to go wrong. Track prep is probably one of the single most important factors in getting a meeting on. You just wouldn't take it for granted, you'd be hands on.. literally.
  13. Just got back after spending £25 for the most expensive piece of yellow paper ever. They shouldn't have open the doors in the first place. Why a BSPA official isn't on hand to ensure a meeting goes ahead or doesn't (in a proper customer friendly way) proves how unproffessional our speedway leaders are. We were leaving and there were still cars being allowed into the car park, unbelievable.
  14. Sadly unless a financier/sponsor or potential shareholder can step forward to help fund a new stadium. The current promotion will do the most cost effective thing for their business. Coventry Speedway will always be better off staying where it is. Redevelopment needs to be stopped.
  15. It would be in the planning permission if Mr coventry was told not to make any noise after a certain time. He claims he has kept within the planning permission granted.
  16. Coventry states he has stuck to the terms and conditions of the planning permission. If he could prove this beyond doubt, seems odd why Mildenham stadium is where it is. I don't think that is the case though. Planning restrictions are there for a reason, If the couple had issues with this, then I would have thought there is a process. My feelings are I don't think the stadium can prove beyond doubt that they are adhering to the planning restrictions.
  17. Tough call, but I would welcome anyone wishing to put on the Union Flag and ride for Great Britain. If there were a lot of talent coming through the ranks fighting for a place, he probably wouldn't get a look in. Unfortunately the current state of the team at the moment means he could get a spot. It's up to our current lads to be better tbh.
  18. It's fair to say that people moving into an area, should not assume everything is all wrapped up by 11.00pm whatever is next door. You wouldn't move next door to a drinking establishment assuming it would be wrapped up by 11pm You wouldn't move next door to a supermarket and assume everything was wrapped up by 11pm So why a motorsport stadium? When working shifts never assume a neighbours kids will be quiet when you walk in from work at 7am. We are a 24 x 7 society.
  19. Where are this couple living now, while the house is in ruins?
  20. possibly 51 people out of work.... I hope the couple are happy with themselves.
