  1. A good saturday afternoon beer up in Berwick, with the Bandit fans is the way to go!
  2. I think it's because there are more "bigger" clubs at PL level.
  3. It's a sport that has no ambition to be up there with the most popular.
  4. As the score is 0-0, can we just call it a draw and take the shared league points? Pleeeeeeeeeease.......!
  5. Why doesn't he just match Brum's demands if he is that eager.
  6. I can see the job description: "Willing to volunteer their services for the Brummie cause, for the benefit of their future career aspirations"
  7. Perhaps he has a gambling problem? You'd know all about them.....
  8. They like to watch speedway like us. I guess 4th place is as good as the centre green... I'm thinking King and Skorniki will give Poole a fair run for their money, Starke and Lambert apart the others may as we'll stay at home and save fuel. 50 minimum to Poole.
  9. Exactly, I agree. But come on, when did the season start and what month are we currently in? Mole put out some poor teams early doors. Not this bad granted. We can probably write this season off while Phillips licks his wounds from last season, but give him credit, he could have jumped ship last year.
  10. Anything but close. But I suppose you are another one who would be happy for us to close again. Lots of people put in a lot of work convincing both Mole and a very negative council that the city wants speedway. It's painful to watch but it is still speedway in our city, things can get better, but it needs continuity.
  11. It's run independently and is funded by Chris B and a few volunteers, it'll be pure coincidence. Nothing sinister at all.
  12. Everywhere Mole goes, Drury follows. Makes you think perhaps Tony is up to something ... somewhere..... but not Birmingham.
  13. Us Brummies will too, for different reasons...!
  14. Birmingham for an easy win as all Lynn riders will suffer from mysterious punctures... watch this space.
  15. Give us credit, Birmingham have been consistent...
  16. The crowd wasn't big, but it wasn't small neither, so lets say average. It did appear to be swelled out by quite a few travelling Cov fans. I'm guessing it would have been about the size of the later years in the premier league, it most certainly wasn't packed out.
  17. There is a rider shortage and there doesn't appear to be many youngsters wanting to take it up as a serious occupation, so perhaps the pay arrangements need to be looked at. Amongst other things of course. Theres learning and being paid to keep trying, or learning and not getting paid for some to give it up as a bad experience. It's nothing like speedway, only contractors are paid per job. Most go contract after learning the trade, realising they are quite good and want that sports car.
  18. Happy... over the bloody moon mate... Some great racing tonight, both teams wanted it.
  19. For info, The BSA speedway test track, Greet, Birmingham. http://www.britainfromabove.org.uk/image/epw023707
  20. I'm thinking the Brummies may fair better if they ride on 2014 machinery and not the 2013 bikes they got out against Lakeside.
  21. Sadly, I think the Shinanigans last season haven't done the club any favours. Perhaps a groupon offer is on the cards, Birmingham people seemed to like the offers and attend in their droves. Fingers crossed Wednesday was just a blip crowd wise.
  22. 10,000 signatures gets a response from the government department.
  23. It was painful to watch the Brummies tonight. Crowd appeared on par with the latter premier league days. But, it was speedway and glad it's still in birmingham. Well done lakeside..
  24. You're on a wind up. Who'd want to leave Shielfield! Not many proper big fast race tracks left these days. Shiefield forever.
  25. Could do with more riders to be honest. Get fed up of hearing about retirements, but no one coming through the ranks to take their place. The more the merrier.
