I'd the tapes are prevented from releasing then clutches start burning out, so not such a clever or inexpensive idea after all

Quite happy with the team to be honest. If we can provide a grippy track we will be very hard to beat at home

Easy way to solve this issue. Put an electric line under the track where the front wheel should sit to be the right distance from the tapes. Every bike then has something on their forks that when it goes over the line under the track lights up a light on a panel in the refs box. If a riders light goes out before the tapes rise then he is out. Simple.

Doubt sarge will be back no he signed for Glasgow, would be an awful lot of travelling

Surely if poole can't get this meeting on either Wednesday or Thursday, that will have been 4 attempts, all done because of their inability to prepare their track (either on purpose or by mistake) for this first attempt, then they must forfeit the meeting and lynn go through. That's my opinion anyway.

The meeting had to be moved from the 20th as riders were unavailable due to the elite league final being moved. Just hope both sides are still at full strength when it's re run

This won't happen. Too many clubs don't own their own ground, so have to ride on various nights determined by the ground owners, or the promotion will know that changing race night to a Wednesday will be like a death stroke to their business so will opt not to run
