    Peter Craven

I wasn't there, but i do have a filled in programme, and there is no indication from the handwriting of any handicap being used.
  8. I don't believe it. Must all be good news from now on. All the very best for future meetings.
  9. Are there any channels that i can view speedway on. Or which satellites do you need to tune into. Any info on best boxes to use?
  10. Charlie Monk, my all time favourite. He did have a sense of humour, one time while getting his autograph at Old Meadowbank he put a cross on George Hunters photo !!!! True he was a man of few words, and later on in his career at Powderhall for the Monarchs he used what may well have been the prototype yellow kevlar suit. From there the idea must have been put on hold for a few years. Glad to hear that he is still alive and well, and if he ever ventures back to Scotland he will always be greeted as a legend by the East and West supporters.
  11. How did he progress from this, as he is not someone that i recall ???
  12. Nice slide show, they don't make fences like that anymore !!!
  13. If you go to Koln you must visit Fruh near the Dom. Fruh Kolsch beer is one of the best in the world. Been there seen it done it and got the tee shirt,as they also sell various other items.
  14. Super Saturday (here) Speedway !!!!!!!!!!
  15. Been there, done it,got the teeshirt. Ps the chippie in Alnwick was also very good.
  16. I was there on saturday, and can confirm that it is in England. While we are being silly, and on a sober note, if you want to see super Christmas lights pay a visit to Alnwick, south of Berwick (Also England) for a display that would shame many large cities. We stumbled on it after looking for a chippie onroute home from Redcar!!!!!
  17. All the best to Cam. Hope you feature on the podium.
  18. Therefore Glasgow is the winner ???
