  1. Nigel did a great job on the radio and plugged speedway in general. Great radio show, and heard by many speedway fans far and wide as the phone in proved. ( inc Greg Hancocks mother)
  2. Seems like you need to subscribe unless anyone knows better.
  3. All of you enjoy a great experience, and who knows one day you might not be the supporting act.

Try a visit to Ashfield or Armadale then you'll see that the racing at smaller tracks is just as exciting.

Very well put, sad day when money talked and Hyde Road was gone.
  6. I was at Armadale and saw the incident. There were many problems with the tapes and eventually the starts were done with flags. It looked and obviously was a real sore one for Dan. Take care young man and all the very best for the future.

  15. He is obviously a prospect but don't get too excited, Rooboy has loads more experience. No doubt there are a few promoters checking there options. JDC are you one of them?
  16. In the sixties Poland visited Old Meadowbank and there was a memorable meeting. my favourite memory was Charlie Monk (great grandparent born in Dundee - so said Ian Hoskins??) riding for Scotland entering bend two with black leathers, exiting and into bend three with white leathers on his right leg due to fence abrasions along the straight. Superb meeting in not the best conditions. Such are memories.
  17. If it was possible I would ask Santa to fly by the army surplus shop and buy a "sticky" pack of gas goggles to put in all your stockings. As a kid I wrote to Hackney asking if I could have some old programmes they were duly delivered to me and I still have them. PS I hope that your get together was a good one. What ever became of Ray Poiser I remember him and Bert Harkins posing for a picture to compare injuries.
