  15. Can anyone give me technical details of the 897 engine which would include drawings or photo's. I have the manual for the 897 from the Jawa agent but this only gives basic information. I will pay postage etc.

  18. The beer was also very good. A great day including the practice, and we visited France!
  19. 1965 he came 21st in the British semi finals. First 16 went through to the British final, won by Barry Briggs who went on to win the world championship.
  20. Charlie Monk, because of his cool non talking exteriour. I was told that he would heat his R40 and bring it in a flask to put it into his oil tank and therefore gain an advantage in getting his bike going. I also remember him giving me his autograph and putting an X on the chin of a photo of George Hunter! If only he had made it to a world final, he had the class to make a rostrum place.
