In 2005(?) the junior final was held in appauling conditions for 12 heats, with two riders on equal on points, they tossed a coin to decide who would be champion. I agree with what they've done and I doubt the result would have been too different as Artem and Maksims are two quality riders.

Stoke Sign Bager And Vissing Leaves
superguest replied to Rob 3's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Didn't Vissing ride for Peterborough last year. He's basically just lowered his average to get his place back. -
2011 Speedway Gp Qualifiers
superguest replied to DutchGrasstrack's topic in International World of Speedway
If you race in GB, Sweden and Poland, theres no way you can send your Passport off in time to get a visa. Most riders won't even let go of their passport when they sleep! The logistics are another problem, but most riders were willing to do it, even if they were going to miss meetings before and after. But the VISA issue is the stumbling block here. -
2011 Speedway Gp Qualifiers

Can't see a GP qualifer taking place in Russia again. -
The important issue here is not that Dudley have decided to bring in an Aussie, but that they've dropped a British rider from what is supposed to be a Development league for National ie British riders. I have nothing against the Aussies coming to Britain to make a career for themselves, but they shouldn't be using our training leagues in which to do it. The National league needs to lock it's doors and do what it should be doing, developing British riders.

Tai Got Away With It

Tai rode all last season with no wheel trims -
He literally took Blue as far as he could going into the bend and then gave him no room down the straight

Swedish Elitserien Round 5

Lejonen are seriously strong and Rosspigarna are the Eastbourne of Swedish Speedway! It couldn't have been a good advert for the sport. -
Strange format to allow just 1 ride to the number 7. Have always wondered why the home team wears the 9-15, any paticular reason?
-
Somethings I'd like to ask about the Polish system. Why do they use 1-14? What's wrong with both sides wearing 1-7? Plus, Do all riders have 4 programmed rides like here?

Polish Ekstraliga Sun 16 May
superguest replied to peatbog's topic in International World of Speedway
I wonder if Freddie will risk waiting for a flight tomorrow or attempt to drive back to the UK this evening. Not good! -
Can't help but think this would be the better meeting to broadcast! Surely, the toughest meeting of the season. Go Dacke, of course
-
It's hardly surprising the result considering the team strengthens. Maybe Sullivan should have scored more, but overall that team is terrible compared to the other line-ups.

I was impressed with Peter Kildemand when I saw him race at Newcastle, he seems to be a bit of an unnoticed talent due to so many good young riders in Denmark. Michael Jepsen Jensen is 17? I can see a few Premier League teams hoping to attract him as he is only going to get better.

World Team Cup - Qualifying Rounds
superguest replied to Sandie's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Just for entertainment sake, It's better to have 4 riders in a race. USA speedway has massive competition from all different sports which makes it harder to attract talent. However, Chris Kerr and Ryan Fisher did better than what Scotland would have scored IMO. -
World Team Cup - Qualifying Rounds

Massive shame Gino wasn't allowed to ride and make it a fair competition with 5 riders each. Well done to Finland on their win. -
Anders, I was just wondering if you could give a reason as why Dackarna are pairing Andersen and Jonsson together, most other teams seem to put their best rider at no.5?

Anyone know how PK is? The reports on speedway.nu said that he tangled with Harris and went into the fence at high speed.

Leszno Gp - 24th April 2010
superguest replied to GregM's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Why do they have to say 'Tailed off at the back' for? Especially when the rider is only a few lengths behind the leader! -
Any news on Pepe? Very bad fall on the straight

Nick Morris' Final Junior Speedway Ride
superguest replied to lance52m's topic in International World of Speedway
Judging from the video's I've seen of him he looks like a special talent, hope to get up to Buxton to see him ride. Will he have to quit Buxton when he joins Glasgow? -
There are quite a few Premier League sides who ride on sundays making it impossible for a Pole if they have a Polish team. As for the EL, the top Polish riders find it hard to commit to a full season, however you'll see a few added to teams during the season including Skornicki who is not fully fit yet. It doesn't look good with all the top British riders riding in the 1st division in Poland, you could say Lewis and Tai are only where they due to their age. I think were more swamped by Aussies and Danes

The Horns Of A Dilemma
superguest replied to Sprog1's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
The problem is 7 riders will always 'fail'. If Hans finishes in 9th place in 2010, he is still better than anyone else, but people say 'why should he be given another wild card'. The system is flawed, it makes you think they've failed but really in reality they are the best on offer. OK maybe Harris and Nicholls aren't but thats an entirely different story. -
And if they knew the reasons why you want to be there on those specific times they'd no doubt charge you more anyway!
