  1. Tarnow might need to find two new reserves. Both had heavy crashes. To me it seems the mandatory Polish junior reserves should be in 1 division, not Ekstraliga???
  2. The track was slick but there was passing inside and outside. Some big crashes and lots of talking points. Nicki Pedersen seemed to be 10mph faster when he was up against Gollob!! He was ruthless with Crump IMO and Gollob in the final. Good for the sport though to have two strong characters battling it out at the top. As for Harris, he scored 7 points which for a bad night, must be considered pretty good. Freddie rode superbly, he looked good at Kings Lynn on wednesday but his gating is still pretty poor and will need to improve if he is to get into finals. Heat 19 was Typical Freddie at Monmore, the way he went under Nicki and then scrubbed his speed off to go under Bjerre too!
  3. What happened to Lambert in heat 2 and T Musielak in heat 4? The Poles looks 10 miles faster than the rest. Batchelor trying to ride around Harris or Harris riding into Batchelor.. hmm toughie.
  4. skip to 2.55 to see the race This race shows how far Freddie has to go IMO. He rides smart, but he just doesnt have the speed to compete with the big track riders.
  5. It may seem like giving in, but all we want is to watch live speedway. Without planning permission, you can't do that. Poland can use the Old Silencers, but Poles over here have to use them - its their choice if they decide to race here surely?
  6. It take a special type of rider to be WC. Belittle Nicholls and Lindgren all you like, they are both v.good riders.
  7. Just read that article. Very worrying! http://translate.google.com/translate?js=n&prev=_t&hl=en&ie=UTF-8&layout=2&eotf=1&sl=auto&tl=en&u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.dn.se%2Fsport%2Fvm-stjarna-varnar-for-anorexia&act=url
  8. Shame that this meeting clashes with Adam Skornicki's testimonial. Looks a great line-up!
  9. Could he not ride for Edinburgh? I don't know what he averaged last year but would it not be half that figure or would he be assessed 5.00?
  10. Totally agree Shawn. Hope Its just the media twisting stuff. Just wondered if anyone knew why JK always wears those motocross type race gear, they don't look right in speedway.
  11. Lewis Bridger almost INfamously scored a programme of Letters rather than numbers in one meeting at Monmore. I think it read F F Ex 1 and this was riding at number 1!
  12. why not call them, The Saints of Sheffield /Scunthorpe For the Away fixture call them The Saints of Scunthorpe and Sheffield
  13. I think he'll always try to stay in the Ekstraliga, but who knows. Five GP riders will have to sit it out next year.
  14. The Poles will re-arrange to ride on the monday or thursday. Probably effecting the EL fixtures (some were cancelled last year due to rider shortage) There doesn't seem an appropriate time to run FIM meetings. Every weekend there going to be something happening, unless they decide to run on the same night as the GP's?
  15. Totally agree with Hampel. This is not a good way to cut costs, as there will be less fans watching. Cut costs by not signing riders on ridiculos contracts. Dumbing down the league in GB has just led to average fixing and the fans turning their back on an inferior product, yet paying more to do so. Have budgets and stick to them...
  16. Nicki Pedersen or Emil Sayfutdinov as the best outside bet to challenge Crump and Gollob. Both have the crazy adrenline and speed to be WC. Just need to stay fit! Jarek Hampel and Janusz Kolodziej to be threating that pack too. Rune Holta, to be just behind these two. AJ and Kenneth Bjerre likely battling it out for 8th spot. Can see Freddie, Harris and Holder struggling, the GP series looks so strong and these guys rely more on talent than speed. Hancock also in this group. Lindback and Laguta, well, they will have their moments, but throw in some low scores too. Definitely an interesting season ahead.
  17. Shame Ty Proctor can't get a good result in the Aussie Champs. Hes so entertaining here in Britian. Wheres the next round?
  18. Tai Woffinden 4.11 or 4.93 in the 1st division, I wonder if he will drop down?
  19. Looks like Gorzów are gonna be the front runners in 2011, boy this team looks stunningly good (and expensive!) Gollob Pedersen Andersen Iversen Gapiński (?) Pawlicki (?)
  20. I think possibly the rule should have been applied differently than what it has been. I can see their way of logic, in stoppng teams with a lot of contracted Swedish riders and putting them as guest riders whilst they fill their other places with foreigners, but I presume they have to come under the points limit? They can only use 8 riders per meeting and can only use one guest rider per meeting anyway, so it seems a bit of a silly rule that just adds problems for riders. Atleast you're governing body is independant though, and no team has 'demanded' it is discrimative against them!
  21. And that is the very reason why there will be a low points limit, high PL conversion rate and one 8 rider per team rule, to give a PL team the means to compete, not just to be making the numbers up. However, Cov and Pboro are refusing to play ball with these changes.
