Doesn't really matter, as the only other Brit who could live in that company is Nicholls. I think Cook should be retained as he has to be given experience and now is as good a time as any, along with Barker would have the confidence to put himself about. -
Time has come for Magic to stop coaching and start doing I think!

Ticket sales I should imagine. -
A shame, as he tries hard, but he has clearly struggled. Good luck to him, hopefully he can get back to the NL, rebuild his confidence and come back stronger.

You can say that again. Best post of either thread

Take my hat off to you for sticking with it. I decided to watch the GP, normally the kids would be giving me grief all day but they didn't even realise, I think the habit is slipping away. -

Sure it won't have been Len's fault though -

Hope the injuries are not so bad. A 4 man team grab a point against the Rockets, you couldn't make it up (especially as one appeared to be off form!!!). -

Rye House V Newcastle (premier League) 22nd June @ 7pm
JC! replied to Shadders's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Team is too weak, especially without Olly Allen, it's as simple as that. 6/7 signings were ok, the other was the difference between being contenders and being strugglers. -
I think that's harsh, I am sure anyone with sense wouldn't even look at the points limit, and would instead just build the team they reeeeeeeeeally want even if it happens to be miles below the limit?
-
Len will continue to blame injuries ruining the season, the same as always. The way he goes on these days you would think that Rye are the only team that has injuries - when the truth is that they are the only ones that never seem to respond to injuries or poor form, and usually end up with 2 options if it happens - R/R or Ben Morley.

Sounds like a shocker, have to admit I just couldn't get the enthusiasm to go and see the same opposition again, stayed in and watched the Pairs from Poland. You get the feeling, though, that heads will continue to be buried in the sand with Len continuing to back a lame horse team. The price is being paid of not replacing Bunyan and Lambert when they were injured, and having to rush them back before they looked ready (I expect the same with Garrity). The saddening part is that there was a real chance to have a competitive team if Garrity had have been at reserve from the start. Also the meetings dragging out is a good point and is becoming an unwelcome habit. -
The accident happened right in front of me and lives with me to this day, you just knew it was a bad one. Obviously this was before the days of the internet etc, and I still think of reading in the next day's paper that Vic had succumbed to his injuries - what a sad, sad day. scarletrider summed it up in 3 words 'a lovely lad' who was immensely popular with the Hackney fans, and is remembered fondly and missed all these years on. RIP Vic

Tai tweeted a picture of the x-ray for anyone who may be Interested.

Thanks for taking the time to update this Tsunami, good to get insight, even if it leads you to imagine an old bloke with a fag out of his mouth pulling the tarp off, seeing a deluge hitting the shale and hoping no-one will ever notice. Climate control speedway style!!!

That's not what the man himself told Swedish TV - he said he hit a hole and came off.

Just getting round to replying, better late than never, I guess!! I was really glad that I went, a potentially very good set up down there and everyone seems very enthusiastic and friendly. The facilities are really second to none, with good viewing and catering facilities with various options available. I asked about the third and fourth bend terracing to the pits and apparently work is being done to make a walkway safe at the moment. The M2 delays and my sat nav taking me down a dead end did for my chances of getting to meet up with P1928N but I will make sure to next time that I am down. It is easy for anyone to focus on what can be improved as many have mentioned but there are a couple of things that would improve the experience for me - I was on first bend and the sound was out, so maybe a chalk board to communicate results and changes would help. The second is far from easy, but it is clear that too much of the team building allowance has been used on Steve Boxall. This means there are 4 reserves, with that the second strings out of their depth in the main body of the team, and this in turn leaves too much pressure on Morley, Boxall and Compton. It is very difficult to see what can be done, but, with lots of other teams having at least one very strong reserve, I hope that the fans persevere with what is likely to be, in the main, a losing team. Good luck for the rest of the season to all concerned, I hope that the crowds remain high through the summer.

I think that is just someone mis-spelling Thai's name.

They are exact quotes from your posts, think our wires are crossed . There have been enough temporary tracks made now that they should never be as bad as that one, shame with so many people there.
