A lot were saying that last year

Not above 'very unpleasant personal attacks' yourself though, probably one of the most personal and unpleasant attacks I have ever seen on here can no longer be found on the link below because it was removed as it was so vile... http://www.speedway-...ic=71240&st=765 Obviously it's not too nauseating if you put your name to the attack rather than using a false name?

RIP PJ - remember him well, a very colourful character.

I have had enough, I am calling the FBI, what's the big secret P1928?
-
But why is this happening? is Ronnie Moore going to be there? Is there an ulterior motive? Why is it not Hackney? I am beginning to get suspicious now, maybe that this is just for fun, to give Wimbledon fans a chance to meet and have a catch up, to promote the sport to some possibly lapsed fans, or as a respectful nod to the past by the Kent promotion. I need to know, I think that I deserve that much at the very least. Nurse, the pills

Congrats to the Kings, hopefully the first of many!!!

Is it true he is putting his experience to good use and is now working for the AA breakdown service?

RIP Ron Taken from CHK's excellent site; http://www.freewebs.com/customhousekid/ronbutcher.htm

'After you' - I seriously would not flatter yourself that I have the remotest interest.

Good grief, who kicked your kennel today? I really hope you manage to get some sleep tonight with all of the worry you seem to be having about this.
-
Who are making these claims you speak of? I was simply trying to explain what I think has happened based on my experience of seeing dozens of these types of changes across all clubs every season, and a reasonably transparent announcement on the club's website.

It looks on the face of it to be relatively straightforward really. (1) The team needs improving as there are too many rookies, meaning they always lose, and the averages now allow this (2) David Mason is available (3) Sam Woods is injured (4) David Mason replaces Sam Woods to strengthen the team (5) Sam Woods is seen by all at Kent as a good lad who has potential, and when he is fit he will have an opportunity to compete for a place in the team with the other rookies.

A tongue twister!!! Even better you could ask; How can a clam cram in a clean cream can?
-
Good move, will make the team much more competitive - especially at home.

I totally agree, but was explaining the reasoning. It also must have placed a seed doubt in Barkers mind as to whether to chase the leader down or make sure not to come second when overtaken. As someone pointed out earlier this manoeuvre also carried the risk of a disqualification which wouldn't have mattered to usa earlier given they were last but would have damaged our chances (albeit the horse had bolted by then anyway).
-
Its pretty simple, he was overtaken by the aussie fair and square, then believed that we had better chances being 6 behind than 5 as harris could have 2 further races. Thus, the team orders must have been 'if you're behind the aussies -come 3rd'.

World Cup Race Off - 18th July 2013

Please re-read my post re. Screen and Loram, I acknowledged the lack of management experience and suggested 'a role for them within the structure', I most certainly did not suggest them as Team GB manager. By the way, didn't Billy Hamill seem to get his team motivated and pulling in the same direction......... -

Whilst 4th place was a disaster, and couldn't have been predicted, I don't believe that anyone would have done a great deal better than Middlo. There are many things that could have been done better, but if you don't have the riders available you wont make a mark even if you get every decision right. I know it is a bit 'left field' in terms of management experience but I would like to see the likes of Mark Loram and Joe Screen given a role within the structure of the national team - they know what it takes to ride successfully on the continent, seem to have the respect of the young riders, and would bring some fun and passion back into the GB race jacket. The saddest thing of the whole SWC for me was that we were represented by what outwardly appeared to be such a surly, miserable bunch (Tai excluded). -

I agree, it was ruined as a spectacle with the Swedes being depleted, throw AJ, Freddie, Sundstrom, Lindback into the mix and it would have been a much better meeting. -

To be fair, you only had to look at him after he was withdrawn after just 1 ride, it was quite apparent that any belief had just drained away. -

Harsh. Kennett accepted the call up as most would have, and there is no sign that he has not given his best, you can't ask any more than that. Should he have got the call is a different question entirely but I think most observers foresaw this as a car crash waiting to happen given his form recently.
