Rye House V Plymouth 25th May

Agree entirely, it took so long that, at one point, I thought that Stefan would have recovered from his concussion in time to take his last ride! -
Some tired stereotyping there (even if tongue in cheek), an uneducated and crass view genuinely held by so many and a key reason why people keep it to themselves in a majority of cases when they could easily seek help.

Cant agree about the crown, I never thought it made any sense, and, on the race jacket at least, it looked more like a chef's toque anyhow. Surely most clubs have new Race Jackets regularly, I must say that it has never occurred to me as to what happened to obsolete ones - maybe kept by the riders?

One reason could be that Hungary did not join the EU until after the millennium so maybe work permit issues?

It does, however, mean that, when he voices his opinion, many people will sit up and take notice. I am sure that PC is far too humble to expect everyone to agree with his opinion, but at least he took the time to consider and offer it.

I think several of these relate to date of birth - 108 is 10th August etc.

Matt Ford Already Planning To Fiddle Reserve Berths?

I wonder if some sort of co-operation between Poole and IOW could work, would give Poole a relatively cheap 'in' to the NL and help keep speedway alive on the Island? -

Maybe as a paying customer he has looked at the team and doesn't feel positive about it?

No air fares, seems pretty a pretty cheap option that will tick Len's all important box of winning most home matches. Potential improvement in Garrity mitigated by the potential average drop of Eddie. 7 old faces will hardly bring the missing fans back, lower mid-table beckons.
-
Not far off - same old, same old as ever.

A call for comments to be carefully controlled, followed by a comment that could easily fuel speculation as to who the alleged victim is.......
-
I was at that match - shameful. Typical Redknapp.

Kent Kings V Dudley Heathens 26th Aug **3pm Start**

I think, to be fair, that Nikko was one of the best at providing this sort of information on the BSF - it is a shame that he got grief and decided it was not worth carrying on (unless he changed his mind). -
Joe is out with a damaged hand, and a broken finger which means that he wont be fit before the end of the season. As he had planned to retire at the end of the season this means he is effectively retired, so both are true. I am certain that Joe would be more disappointed than anyone that he could not see out the final few weeks of his career.
-
I see on Twitter that Joe has decided to call it a day immediately having injured his hand earlier in the week. Apart from the fact that this makes me feel so old, I would just like to wish Joe all the best for the future and hope that he remains in the sport in some capacity. It is clear just how much respect so many young riders have for Joe, which is hardly surprising since, as well as being an absolutely top motorcyclist, he seems like such a decent man too. Good luck for the future Joe.

That's sad news. RIP
