I would hope they consult with Wolves, BSPA and the SCB before making a statement about their 9 o clock decision. -

Belle Vue said they would release news on Wednesday, that today. In the meantime we've had a mystery person at Cradley and Toby Lerone both give out "information". The way you guys lap it up on here I can't help thinking that my Nigerian uncle can get himself out of his current finance problems. He's a prince you know. -

I guess the only saving grace with this is these people warned friends and family members who passed it around to save folk travel cost etc. At least we know now it wasn't played out in front of a capacity crowd and claims in the media of a sell out and that "we were packed in like sardines" in the south stand are totally rubbish. -

Rosco said it was the best surface he had ever seen whilst Terry Russell said anyone that can't entertain on that track needs to give up. They said if the new Swindon track was 25% as good they'd be over the moon. -
Yep 06/10/14. Still waiting for my fuel, hotel, sausage roll and drinks to be reimbursed by that con man. Signed, Angry of Mayfair.

Funny that the riders haven't refused to race at Poole. So still safer than BV??

Aside from the track the contractors didn't hand over a finished stadium as there were no constructed loos at the south stand and the terracing there is temporary with the proper terracing being constructed in the coming close season. There was also cabins and machinery on the south stand car park. Whilst speedway can often make do if this had been almost any other structure with these items not completed on time then agreed penalties need to be met. -

Belle Vue need to cover all bases and take advice from all quarters before going ahead with things and hoping it's right. They were accused of not doing this on Saturday. They have taken that criticism on board and will ensure that any refund policy is correct and proper when the time is right. A precedent was set after the 2014 ELRC when the promoters (BSPA) of the event screwed up. I'd be interested to know how people got on with refunds on hotels, parking, fuel etc. Any help with this information would greatly help things moving forward. -
If theres a rut then theres no speedway - simply as. If Ford let's fans in knowing this he is nothing but a con man, apparently.
-
Belle Vue will not be riding on any track with holes or ruts. The machinery is out sorting our track so I suggest other tracks get sorting or let your fans know beforehand. That's the way it is from now on. Dave Gordon let fans in then the track was found to be unraceable at best after the practise spins once everybody was in. Are you saying he let people in once he had made his announcement that the riders wouldn't ride?

Sgb Statement

BRITISH Speedway Chairman has confirmed the BSPA are to launch a full investigation into events surrounding the cancellation. The meeting was cancelled due to an unfit track - something which the Chairman admits was "totally unacceptable". He said: "The first thing to say is to apologise to the many supporters who paid good money to see the event which had a superb line-up. "It is also not the start anyone wanted. "I can understand totally the anger of supporters and, of course, we offer our sincere apologies to everyone who was inconvenienced. "We will now carry out a full investigation to establish why this totally unacceptable situation was allowed to develop and will comment further when this investigation has been concluded." This was following the BSPA promoted ELRC farce at Coventry in 2014, so at least they will know how to efficiently help in dealing with the situation at Belle Vue. Did anyone get the hotels, parking, drinks, sausage rolls and programmes refunded as if so then it could help to resolve the Belle Vue refunds in the same way? -

Yes 'cause Kings Lynn would never have a track issue during a high profile meeting with GP stars in it would they? #purubbishthroughforskysake -
I think the vast majority there last night were locals who will re use their tickets for the re run or an alternative fixture. Those from further afield will probably want a refund due to all the ancillary costs incurred. I myself no longer travel any great distance to watch the sport after years of travelling the UK and Europe as it not worth it. Seeing modern day riders going through the motions or not even bothering if rain is in the air has seen to that. Still there's two new DVDs coming out featuring Hyde Road and Mort so they will keep me entertained without the worry of another superstar no show.

Me being one of them. I'll not be watching that bunch in the re run as a wouldn't bet against it being too this or too that for the poor lambs and it being off again. -

It's been on the local ITV news that the meeting will be re run with tickets valid for the re run or refunds for those that cannot make it. -

Don't remember saying Nicki didn't want to ride. I'll re read my posts and correct it as one of us is wrong. People keep mentioning that the track failed it's inspection twice but never mention the successful one. Biased. I was there. Gladiators all, I do miss it. -

My most used comment of 2016 will be, so they'll ride on that but couldn't ride the Belle Vue track back in March? Rider safety is paramount - when it suits. We've had pages and pages on here over the years about meetings being forced through on tracks far worse than last night just to get a result. All I want is consistency so we now where we stand. I spoke to management last night and told them they were not at fault. In hindsight they were as they booked these prima donnas who let's not forget have form for this kind of thing. Have I ever ridden a speedway bike, no but I'm no chef either but I'd be quick to complain if the performance of the chef was not up to scratch. Ex riders I spoke to last night plus those on social media are of the opinion it should have gone ahead. Just as they all questioned the rides following the Warsaw walk out. If I was in the rider meeting last night I have just said right you lot who don't want to ride pack up and go. We'll promote the reserves and run some part filled heats. I'm probably biased in my opinions as I've been a supporter for forty odd years and I'm use to the gladiators of old and find these highly paid pussies hard to watch a lot if the time. I guess it's modern day speedway but at least I've got The Colts to watch again. Should have had them on standby last night once the "stars" started bleating on social media. -
Some modern day "star" riders are pussies. If you don't want to ride speedway don't be a speedway rider, if you do get on with it and as one ex rider told me put on a show. I hope it is not rerun with that shower, I will be getting a refund as I cannot bring myself to pay to watch these soft a*** "riders" I will however gladly turn up if the Craven meeting is run as the old junior championship. I feel so so sorry for The Aces management having put faith in these so called stars, they deserved better than that.

Great stuff -
Most, leaving some. Looks like we're getting close to agreement. The place on earth you need is in the SCB rule book. Don't worry about the Manchester weather as we have state of the art drainage and track covers. Normally you only need worry if it's raining whilst the meeting is on but I'm sure Tony Steele and your other "friends" would ensure the meeting went ahead.
