  1. With regards BV and Adam, if someone has a link because it's not one that I have read.Without an official link confirming then it remains and stays as gossip or assumption.
  2. You're correct and if not already with us they should be here anytime. I'm sure there will be photos etc when they first get used.
  3. Maybe they should have used the leaky pipe excuse rather than digging up the track as that has subsequently put riders at risk. The only risk with a made up flood is a fine and points deducted but then that wouldn't apply to poole. Should have gone with the (leaky) pipedream which coincidently is where their championship hopes currently lie. On another note, can you buy tickets online for the Kyle Newman farewell in October?
  4. Turned out to be a good finish racing wise after around 9 races of usual gate and go poole fare. Up to that point we had The Aces pass Jonas on what looked like a slow (ailing?) motor and the Gp leader plus Pooles greatest rider pass the Worrall twins, our current and future reserve riders. The dirt moved out and the tricky conditions meant throttle & bottle were the order of the day. This played right into The Aces hands against their FTG opponents. I'm old school and don't mind a tricky track and maybe we should be asking that riders adapt themselves and their machines to cope better with this kind of tracks and thus provide us with a higher level of entertainment. A regular poole track would have seen, say Howarth pop out of the start and win handsomely but deep down do you want that - really?
  5. I take it back it's a great race track. The way the current world GP leader past our young reserve was great. You can't take your eyes of this!! Ha Ha
  6. Can't see the eight man Poole team losing this now. At least the racings good lol.
  7. Poole losing and suddenly the ref starts helping them out. Surprise suprise.
  8. The Aces haven't got the gating boots sorted yet and that is so important down there so I see a decent win for Poole but a poor match for tv. Wolves number one ( I think he's been replaced by Freddie now due to his easier rides as a second string) in place of a lad who couldn't make the heat leader list is a BIG plus for the pirates and makes things way way easier for them. I think The Aces should wear goggles on parade or when interviewed on sky in reference to last years cheating. We need more banter in speedway to spice things up.
  9. BSPA shouldn't have ruled the way they did especially as this situation is covered by the rule book satisfactorily already. It's another indicator of Chapmans bent as hell reign as chairman. He really needs to go and go soon. Imo the Brummies are strong enough to sign the kind of rider the NL should be catering to and not looking to an established old hand to fill the void. Being a stand alone club I know their need to win is greater than some but the spirit of this league should not be forgotten.
  10. If we keep a tally of rain related call offs it will give us an idea of how badly Belle Vue are effected. The current table is Kings Lynn 4 Wolves 2 Swindon 2 Coventry 1 Lakeside 1 Leicester 1 Poole 1 Belle Vue 1
  11. At the end of the season Belle Vue won't top the charts for weather related call offs out of all the UK circuits. In my opinion.
  12. This still going? It's a trolling thread and has been from the beginning. I got caught out but should have realised when reading some of the posts on here despite all the information that was in the public domain, but hey when the full facts don't fit their point of view just troll and make things up. Whatever floats your boat I guess.
  13. Don't think I've ever come away from a defeat so happy. What a joy to watch at the NSS. The Aces will get dialed in and the track will produce more racing lines in time. Swindon, as a few weeks ago gave the race rusty Aces a gating lesson and throughly deserved their win. I look forward to another play off contest with you guys at seasons end. Happy times.
  14. Belle Vue. The Aces are very vulnerable at home for the first couple of months so it a tricky one to call. Having said that if they miss the gate they have the opportunity to pass and man for man they should have the beating of the robins even on a neutral venue. Whatever the outcome it's just great to finally see The Aces take to the track at the NSS and there are plenty of entertainers on both sides to provide a spectacular evening.
  15. I think the conversation went more like this. Can we sign Cook? No. Why? Both teams ride on the same night. But you've allowed it already where one rider is signed for clubs running on the same night. Errrrr, putting that to one side we're sticking with our decision. You know The Aces only ride a small percentage of their fixtures on Fridays and we run quite a few Sunday's. Doesn't matter you're both Friday tracks. How about if the situation remains the same but I say we run on Sunday? Errrrrrr. Then it's not the same race night then is it? Errrrrr. 'Cause that was the issue wasn't it? Errrrrrrr. I think we're done here. Get me Cook on the 'phone.
  16. Why is Bech always shown as d/u on the bspa team sheets?
  17. Can see Poole getting twitchy now due to their inability to win away. Expect full cheat mode to be implemented any time soon. Sad times.
  18. Very good Sky match. Beautiful move from Feddie in heat 14.
  19. Over 750 tickets were sold online by early afternoon so add in the pay on arrival folk, I'd say there was over 1000 maybe 1200.
  20. Wow, nothing gets past your two journalist mates. I'm not sure how they can look at each other knowingly when they know nothing. Woodward & Bernstein they are not.
  21. Fact alert! The Aces ride the vast majority of their fixtures on day's other than Friday. Arron Summers was recently allowed to double up as both an Elite & Premier heatleader. Their is at least one other rider included in teams with the same race night. Cook rides for Belle Vue. Porsing is on loan.
  22. The number of clashes due to Belle Vue & Peterbough being Friday night tracks is 3 There are 2 other clashes due to one or both clubs riding away. Belle Vue ride 5 Friday's, 5 Wednesday's with the rest on Mondays and Saturdays. Less than 35% of the time we are a Friday night club.
  23. I'm guessing this is the beginning of the end for Chapman. It's been a truly terrible rein as chairman. Whereas before there was a kind of benign incompetence Chapman has been able to squeeze in a full years worth of poor decisions into just two months. Missing out on loan payments for the Dane was bad enough but the potential of The Aces benefiting was too much to take and led to this shocking outcome. I feel for young Craig I really do. Keith Chapman you are an utter disgrace.
