  1. The problem is unless you say it was a great meeting on a super track you're in for a kicking. I use to fall for it but I still know when a thread has been hijacked by them again as post after post reads "This post is hidden because......" I realised they'd never change so I just ignore them as the mods do nothing.
  2. Management committee have to ok it which in the case of Wolves was a given.
  3. People like Rossiter and Orion can wind their neck in when it come to situations like this. If a rider ain't fit he ain't fit. Just get fit Jason, I'll be giving you a cheer at Cardiff. This made my blood boil a couple of years back. I think its a con. Theres nothing wrong with Zagar, he rode OK on Saturday, said Rossiter. Theres nothing you can do and they will give a bona fide certificate and bring people in. Zagar can be fantastic but he is very hit and miss. I think its wrong, Zagar looked alright to me in the Grand Prix. It was the same as when we went to Kings Lynn, their riders were riding the next day. It shouldnt be allowed to be done. Theres too many teams doing it now, moving stuff around to suit themselves.
  4. When MCC complete Belle Vue as promised and with the addition of temporary stands on the bottom bends, the capacity is the same as Prague and just short of a few others.
  5. The powers that be know how much their customer base like playing team manager so you'd think they would just take a couple of minutes to detail how things are worked out. The fact they don't makes it easier to manipulate rider figures depending on who's asking which I think is wrong. It happened last year and I'm sure it will happen again.
  6. Are you Simon Barber? Hayley will be doing it.
  7. It's voted on by referees and it's things like fence, track equipment etc that act as the criteria. The quality or not of the racing doesn't come into it.
  8. Best meeting from Monmore by a country mile with 2 or 3 very good races. I'm glad Wolves fans watch their speedway there.
  9. Good signing that. Richie outperformed Brady in the PL last year and would have continued to do so if the Aces fiasco had resulted in him not getting a top league place. Even giving the rest of the league a head start, he'll still bang the big scores in. Looking forward to your next visit even if Richie will probably turn a draw into a win.
  10. All good opinions, that's what this forum is all about but all the opinions in the world still won't alter the fact that Great Britain are fourth in the world. Chuffed that two Aces helped get them there.
  11. If he does the same for bends 1,2 & 3 I think he'll win. Go Robbo!
  12. As does this...... Poland Sweden Russia Great Britain Australia Latvia USA Denmark Czech Republic France Germany Italy
  13. Well I'm glad the FIM decided to run the SWC instead of listening to these "in the know" as it takes away opinions and leaves us with the indisputable fact that the top country is Poland then Sweden then Russia, leaving in fourth place Great Britain. Nice.
  14. Tedious is being wet and cold, standing in the doggy do with a rolled up red flag in my hand at Kirky Lane whilst a young Tai takes to the track before and during his stint with the Colts. Would his attitude stop me? No way, if I packed it in then he's won. I just think life shouldn't be about chasing the dollar to the detriment of those around you. Anyway, up the Lions!
  15. Excellent come back. I'll take that as another win. Lol 😂
  16. If you want to stop the poles run the final at Lakeside, Wolves or Eastbourne.
  17. Nothing? I didn't realise. Fair play to him then. I've been given duff info. Feel bad for lads out there. No "big ass house" for them.
  18. Having four teams of a decent ability means they should be taking points off each other and that should see Team GB in contention, like last year as we enter the last round of heats. An ef, ex or well placed joker can have a massive effect. All to play for I'd say.
  19. Tai's only interested in riding in events that will finance his future "big ass house". Riding for Team GB does not. If he was honest about it I'd think more of him but when he spouts on about kebabs etc he comes over as a bit tedious.
  20. The thing that gets me is the fact that Joe Public always say " Speedway, its first out of the gate always wins" and it's said in a derogatory way. Why doesn't the sport do all it can to put this right? It's been going on for years.
  21. A agree about him not owing UK speedway anything. I had a similar conversation with my wheelchair bound Nan. She paid for my uni and helped me set up my own business which now makes £1000's a week. She wanted me to give her a lift to the daycare centre and even asked me to fork out for a stair lift! Some people! I think if we added a nought to his and his entourages fee his "principles" would alter.
  22. OUCH. Enlighten me pls on how many Aussie champs ride CURRENTLY in EL or PL. Even Woffinden LEARNED TO RIDE A BIKE IN AUSTRALIA and came to the UK only because he wanted to ride in Poland (Wrocław). Just one, like poland, Chris Holder. Ha ha. If you want to ride in poland you go to poland not the UK. I don't think any bodies map reading skills are that bad. You are funny. Do you sell speedway magazines in poland by any chance?
  23. Currently 4-1 to the UK trained Aussies v the poles over the last few years. LOL. Maybe your mafia could allow poles to ride in the UK then you might get another WC like Ipswich rider Gollob. Make the best of your probable win on Saturday, helped no end by being on home soil. Last year in the UK the poles at the top of their game managed to the trophy in heat 19 against a British team whose current league set up can be described as troubled. This is as good as it gets for you guys and as soon as the other nations regroup you'll be back to your regular supporting cast position which in all fairness you do very well.
  24. The Aussies were on "home" soil in speedway terms as they come over here as kids and learn their trade before the Polish crime lords start waving their cheque books. It's what we do in British Speedway, we make World Champions. Poland in comparison make decent middle order men who can handle expensively tuned motors on big open tracks, all paid for by a cartel held up with illicit betting scams. It's a shame for Polish speedway that those mafia types stop their riders racing in the UK where they could gain the skills to become World Champion like Ipswich rider Tomasz Gollob. To make Poland a "home" for Aussies then maybe bring some youngsters over and help them on their way, but there's no money in that is there?
