Another tough match for the Colts. Lee's average of 8.48 is just not being matched by guests and R/R as that has only give an average of 7.64. I big drop for the rest of the team to try and make up. The fact Drury won't move the fixture to allow Dan who's away chasing world glory, to take his place is just poor. Does he not think of his own fans who would love to see him or is he sticking with Birminghams win a all cost mentality? Poor show and one that sees me giving a fixture I'd normally attend a wide berth as we need to make a stand against this kind of petty mindedness. Stay safe guys, we can ill afford another injury to add to the loss of Lee. Belle Vue did just this earlier in the season and have requested it of other teams to give these young lads track time. It could probably work out that they would meet themselves once or better still not at all in a meeting so they could race for both teams on the same night. More time would be needed to allowed for changing kevlars. I think Belle Vue are thinking ahead by signing the Worrall and Woodhull twins as they will come in handy should there be a clash of this kind.

Excellent crowd. Lakeside got 8k in a few years back but never got near it again. Whatever Swindon and Lakeside did to get these bumper crowds needs replicating up and down the country all season but will they? Rant over.

If we are sacking riders for that then we've had it. If he was casually riding round at the back how did he beat someone and why haven't they been sacked, casually or otherwise.

I agree and any forward thinking promoter should be applauded for moves such as this. The rules were changed on the eve of the new season to prevent a Jason Lyons/ Ricky Ashworth reserve partnership. I've still got the video from the Poole fans night where Terry Russell and Matt Ford were laughing about it. They said Ian Thomas should know the rulesbook, the joke being he knew it inside out its just the change the hadn't been announced. There has been several clubs enjoy successful periods over the last 90 years or so with many having insults thrown their way. Arrogant is a regular one but until Ford came along I have never heard of promoters/managers continually referred to as cheats. There is a reason for that. I branded him the "self confessed cheat" after he admitted to it in The Star 13 years ago when he had won very little so my motivation to do so wasn't based on his incredible success.

Jason Crump comes from Bristol - you can't get any more REAL BRITISH than that. Mark Loram comes from Malta - you can't get any more REAL BRITISH than that.

When you see how childish and vindictive Chapman can be you have to wonder if this behaviour is the reason these big company sponsors haven't come off. They've been within grasping distance for months now according to the chairman but still nothing to show. If they ask for something that doesn't suit him then I can see his bullish attitude coming out again. All a bit grim really and I don't envy the next chairman who has to try and sort out all Busters cock ups and dodgy deals.

I don't know how you get to £500 in lost revenue due to guest fests at Belle Vue. We've had two guests for Kenneth but that was due to the fact we signed him late on. IMO the two matches he missed are outweighed by his contributions in his other meetings. The only other one was Heeps in for the injured Tungate. We have had some meetings with R/R but those heats were filled with Aces not guests.
