Buster Chapman - Is He Good For The Sport?
ouch replied to SCB's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
With 28 clubs currently operating thats between £280'000 and £840'000 held by the BSPA. -
Yes, it's his shoulder that's the problem. He's had issues in the past with this kind of thing. I don't know if an operation would solve it like Hancock but it's definitely gone on longer than we all thought.
-
Doctors failed to diagnose that he would be out for 60% of the season when he was injured. It's been a very frustrating process.
-
Belle Vue won't win a two leg cup tie due to their home track. Wolves will win for the very same reason.

If Buster does pack it in will he get his promoters bond back? I know the BSPA hold it but who much is it? -
Just don't make things up.

So your either suggesting that we shouldn't have a facility for an injured rider or we shouldn't allow teenagers to gain experience when taking the R/R rides. Even for you both idea are a "bloody joke". I've already pointed out we used our No8 for all 4 rides in one meeting hoping others would follow suit - not Birmingham obviously as their win at all costs mentality doesn't lend itself to rider development. No other clubs did it but they would be more than happy to see us continue if it gives them an advantage. Very sad. The topic of riders for heat 15 is barmy and is obviously your opinion as no one else would think that.

Speedway Premiership In U.k. - So So Sad

I'd expect to see Ronnie & Terry in the same sentence as fingers in the till but never expected it in this way. -

18% more. Not satisfied with his usual 10%. -

I look forward to another of your detailed reports of tonight's events. They're brilliant. 😂 -
There's been many amazingly wide of the mark posts on BSF over the years but this is up there with the best. Do these people even watch speedway??? Stronger with R/R for Lee??? 4 points says otherwise. Hammering. 😂 Hope the Cradley fan you paid for enjoyed it.

What average do you think Lee would have dropped to?
-
Another tough match for the Colts. Lee's average of 8.48 is just not being matched by guests and R/R as that has only give an average of 7.64. I big drop for the rest of the team to try and make up. The fact Drury won't move the fixture to allow Dan who's away chasing world glory, to take his place is just poor. Does he not think of his own fans who would love to see him or is he sticking with Birminghams win a all cost mentality? Poor show and one that sees me giving a fixture I'd normally attend a wide berth as we need to make a stand against this kind of petty mindedness. Stay safe guys, we can ill afford another injury to add to the loss of Lee. Belle Vue did just this earlier in the season and have requested it of other teams to give these young lads track time. It's been a unanimous no from all including Drury. Development league huh?
-
That's would only happen if Jim Lynch was managing both teams.
-
It could probably work out that they would meet themselves once or better still not at all in a meeting so they could race for both teams on the same night. More time would be needed to allowed for changing kevlars. I think Belle Vue are thinking ahead by signing the Worrall and Woodhull twins as they will come in handy should there be a clash of this kind.

Fixture Cut Off Date...has It Been Extended?
ouch replied to Speedwaycrazy's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Excellent crowd. Lakeside got 8k in a few years back but never got near it again. Whatever Swindon and Lakeside did to get these bumper crowds needs replicating up and down the country all season but will they? Rant over. -
Crazy. Why was it not rescheduled for 28/09/17 or in October?
-
I love Drunk History too. You crack me up. Well done. So he came back from injury and rode for another team and performed better at a track than when representing your team. If we are sacking riders for that then we've had it. If he was casually riding round at the back how did he beat someone and why haven't they been sacked, casually or otherwise.

What's Batchelor done wrong?

We wanted him that year to and he's stayed ever since. Three years off his testimonial.

I thought he'd only got into the series by two wild cards. Forgot about Harris last year so no as bad as I thought. -

There will just call it and if you haven't completed your fixtures then tough. It happened to Belle Vue so I doubt it will change to help out other teams.
