  1. Was Greaves injured? The updates site said bike problems but I wouldn't have thought Riss could take his rides just because he had a dodgy bike.
  2. Monmore does have the unfortunate knack of playing into the hands of its critics.
  3. I think Newman will line up for the pirates during the play offs.
  4. Funny, Buster was falling over himself to offer refunds at the previous double header when it looked like the second meeting wasn't going to be run. He even asked the ref to call it off. If you're lucky you might get £7.20 back.
  5. Per match Dan averaged nearly 9 at home and 7 away over his last ten meetings, including bonus. Irreplaceable if injured and a big loss if he rides when not fully fit. Coupled with a returning Max it makes things very precarious for The Aces.
  6. I've got loads from back in the day, even have Jonnie Hoskins and Frank Varey. The last one I asked for was Jason Crump but I do have cards off all The Aces for my last two big birthdays. Mike Patrick's last book featured a different rider on each page so I got that signed by most of those featured, which is a nice keepsake. I even had Mike sign it for me as well.
  7. Here we go again. It amazes me that when someone posts an opinion (on a forum, go figure) instead of challenging that opinion with your own thoughts and dare I suggest a few facts, you just throw insults with no reference made to the original point. Calling someone boring, a troll, a child or sad just takes up bandwidth as does saying they post garbage, break forum rules or with one contributor just laughs at them, in writing! Britpete had the best response when he simply expressed his opinion that he likes the Wolves track, without any abuse tacked on. I've taken the option to "view it anyway" to help put this post together as it is almost always the same culprits. Please have a thought for other users and let's keep topics on track. It's odd that BT should only be showing one meeting as everything will be set up so the expense of showing the second meeting is minimal. They still have the programme finishing at 11 so are they going to put on a filler instead of live sport after the first meeting?
  8. IT IS MOST CERTAINLY NOT THE TRUTH!! The information is out there now on several threads on this forum. It doesn't need bring up in what is in the main a good natured debate about the play offs. If after doing some homework you need anymore information, then I'll gladly have a pint (or pints) at The NSS and fill you in on some of the blanks. I'd be happy if they used their wolves engines and lost by 6 or 8.
  9. I don't get the Wolves thing as aside from the Leicester away A fixture they've not convinced me. They won at Somerset but it wasn't really wolves and then had gifts against weakened teams in their other victories. They do however have a fabulous home track advantage that can be improved upon with track prep. Swindon haven't been tested until last night and I think there are in for a wake up call come the play offs even against Poole. Can't discount Poole as Fords overzealous approach to winning sees the boundaries of sportsmanship pushed to the limit. A fully fit Aces team should have the beating of anyone but track prep at The NSS will decide things. If it's a cracking race track then game over for the visitors. Gate & go and it will play right into the oppositions hands.
  10. Nothing. I could as the same question of you.
  11. True. I think he sees the bigger picture rather than just personal gain. Top bloke.
  12. Do people really have to make a judgment call on spending £2 odd a week reading about the sport they love/like?
  13. As far as I know Craig was happy to let it go. Fair play to him in this current claim culture. Top bloke.
  14. It seems to me that more riders get injured abroad. Is there a stato with the ratio of injuries per meeting in each countries top league? When riders express their views for not liking this or that i take it with a pinch of salt. If we added a nought to their pay their viewpoint would change on the spot.
  15. If I had the choice I wouldn't ride at wolves either.
  16. I'm sticking with keep out of it BSPA. It's not worth the hassle as we've already qualified. Sorry Charles and just down the road as well.
  17. Agreed. Don't the BSPA know what they are doing? Keep out of it!
  18. Bewley and Smith were available to ride for The Colts at Birmingham once Poole was called off. Brummies subsequently got rained off but I think it can and should be allowed. The only times there's an issue is if a guest has been booked and it's unfair on them to ditch them at the last minute. I remember Sam Masters enjoying a free meal at NSS whilst watching his guest replacement.
  19. Don't forget the smiley when discussing injury hit teams.
  20. Two blew up on Friday and he was on his brothers today. P.S Looks like Bewley & Shuttleworth are the latest victims.
  21. Agreed, with no home advantage. We'll just have to hope Kenneth sorts his motors, maybe bring his European kit over. I think having Max back in the team will also help.
  22. Had the Lions meeting been the second leg of a two way tie we would have won the tie, same with the Pirates & Wolves meetings today. FYI, the cup meetings are run over two legs.
